Around the end of November, the beginning of December 2022, I started having issues with booting my customer build PC. I called Computerwkz to have my SSD backed up (I had several drives and the only issue was the SSD - the C Drive). Raymond answered the phone and told me he would try to save my data and let me know what happens. I was able to boot before I brought it over there so I didn't doubt that my data could be saved. I dropped off my computer that day with a USB to save my data (should only have been about 10gigs) and my windows installation disk "just in case" (my exact words). When I dropped it off he asked me what my budget was. I was taken aback because I've never heard of anyone asking for a budget on a repair. He said that I looked like a college student and he wanted to keep things within my budget. I said $150, though I still felt something was wrong with asking. Instead of saving my data he deleted everything from all of my drives. I only asked him to work on my SSD (the other was an HDD). When he told me the work was complete all he told me was the he wasn't able to save the data on my SSD and that he reinstalled windows. I said ok because there wasn't much on my SSD and everything was backed up only my HDD. I specifically asked him if he deleted anything from my HDD (the D drive) and he said no. I went to pick up my computer I found out that not only did he wipe my C drive but also my D drive which he was not even supposed to touch. In addition to that, he charged me for a new version of ******* and ********* even though he had my installation disk. I asked him why he did this and his only response was "I didn't know". What didn't you know? I still don't understand. Miraculously, my bill also came out to my budget. He charged me for a new version of windows just to charge me my budget. When I brought my computer home, it wasn't working. I called him back and he didn't answer the phone and instead texted me. He's been ignoring me since.

A refund in the amount of ****** was granted by their merchant (Bank holder)  We tried reaching out to **** ************************* @ ************ but were unsuccessful we left her multiple messages but also unsuccessful due to our number being blocked.

The term of repair regarding ************************* repair was simple a maintenance and a reload of her operating system (******* 10P) according to the service term she agreed we are not responsible for data loss as her data was lost already indicating this on the invoice, she signed stating NO OPERATING SYSTEM Found. **** ************************* was aware of this.

We also do not understand why the request was made after 120 days of service rendered and was never aware she had a problem until the card holder contacted us via landline.

We also have found out she is working for a competitor in the area.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Their number is not blocked, that is untrue. They are ignoring me. In addition to that, the service I asked for is not what was provided in addition they damaged my computer parts and I had to replace them which was much more expensive than the repair would have been.

I have done a chargeback with the bank but they told me it could take 90 days to get a resolution and there is no guarantee that I will be refunded.

That man is a liar and I am just getting more and more mad by the day.

    Regards,
