On an orthodontic appointment for my child on 11/10/23 I.He was rudely harassed by a technician named *****. She embarrassed him in front of other patients, families and staff. She loudly stated to him that his gums has a lot of place on them, has he been brushing his teeth. She also handed him a mirror and said at the base of your teeth. She became even more agitated when he didn't understand what the location was as quickly as she wanted. When I asked her why she didn't approach him by taking him aside or quietly talking to him. I saw other children, parents, staff looking. This dental tech(haily) walked off the floor shaking her head side to side. She had asked another technician to take over. She also talked about us to staff. My husband and I saw the staff member she was talking to turn around and look at us as the tech was talking.

    To whom it may concern,

We are writing in response to complaint # ********.

The complaint against our practice is unfounded and is coming close to defamation. We are considering pursuing legal action. The staff member who the complaint is being levied against has an exemplary record and is the most requested assistant in our practice by all patients.

Discussing a patient oral hygiene is a normal and necessary part of providing orthodontic care and was done professionally. The family has been dismissed from our practice due to the abusive nature of the mother and her repeated verbal comments on many of our staff members, these are all documented. We have bent over backwards to help this child in question but the behavior of the mother and now the subsequent online attacks have made this impossible.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns.

My son went to this establishment to get braces, we were informed that our insurance company wouldn't cover it. They never sent the required information over to the insurance company which left me coming out of pocket $1200. Upon speaking with the insurance company the information should have been sent regardless and it was unethical of how the office handle my son. My son has had medical issues with his teeth since he was 4, if the office would have sent the information over he could have been the one case that could have changed because of his medical history dealing with his teeth. They denied the opportunity to us. Because they wanted to insure they were paid is what I was told by the receptionist at Springfield Orthodontics. No one should have to deal with the stress with trying to make sure their childrens medical needs are taking care of. We trust the offices to do right and send information where need be so we don't have to endure unnecessary cost. The reason these institutions are put in place.
