On November 7. I was selling the car to the webuyanycar The person handling the transaction refused to give me the paperwork signed by me. Supposedly they are coping only first three pages of the document. Even when I signed all the pages they refused my asking for the copies of all by me signed pages. I am not sure but maybe they want later to change something on the documents without me knowing about it. But that is only my feeling.Business Response

On 10-29-2022 between 5-7 pm I sold my ***** truck to We Buy Any Car in Forestdale Alabama for $4000.00. My Bank wanted to put a 7 day hold on the check because they said that they have been having trouble with checks like theirs. So, I called the Forestdale office and spoke to the person that I did business with. I asked him did they have a bank in their area that they deal with so I can cash the check today. I was told there is not a bank that they do business with in their area but to check and see if there is a ****** Bank in my area that they will cash the check. I ******* ****** Bank and found one in Forestdale Alabama. Just a two blocks away from the actual We Buy Any Car location! I called the ****** Bank and was told that as long as ****** was on the check that they would cash the check. Once at the bank I was told that they could not cash the check because the Positive Pay number(s) did not match. I needed to take the check back where I got it from. Once back at We Buy Any Car I was told that a new check could not be issued because accounting was gone home for the day and that they could hold the check until the next day. No, I'm not leaving without a good check and you still have my truck before I do that I would call the police. The man I was dealing called his manager. His manager said, "give her back her truck" then hung up. Then called back about 10 minutes later saying No, go to **** ***** they will cash the check. That someone in their office had a run in with an employee at ****** Bank that's why the won't cash the check. The man I was dealing with said he would pay the fees at **** *****. Of course, when they told him $400 he called his manager they refused to pay the $400. Now I'm here with a check I can't cash at ****** Bank. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH "WE BUY ANY CAR" IN FORESTDALE, ALABAMA. This has been so stressful, disturbing and embarrassing. Imaging sitting at a bank for 40 minutes trying to cash a check like this and then turned away. SCAMBusiness Response

We reached out to the customer personally and have addressed their concerns. We recognized there was an issue with the payment which did not meet our standards.
Our Branch Manager had provided direction that was not part of our operating procedures and we have provided additional training to the Branch Manager in question, to ensure that this does not happen again.
We are happy that we were able to act fast and turn a negative situation around. We spoke directly with the customer and made sure they were able to access the funds and we also reimbursed them for the fees accrued, which was a result of our Branch Manager's error.
We are under the impression that the customer is now satisfied and happy with our response to this issue.Initial Complaint

Dear ****************,
We have processes in place to ensure every customer is treated with fairness and transparency. Firstly, we record all calls for quality and training purposes. We also capture detailed appraisal notes and photographs during the appraisal. The appraisal process includes physical and mechanical checks of the vehicle, running a vehicle history check through providers such as ******** or ******, and we run ***** diagnostics on the vehicle to check for any engine or drivetrain issues. If the appraisal finds any issues with the car, these are always considered as part of our final offer.
Condition plays a big part in a vehicles value. While we do provide an online valuation estimate for the convenience of our customers, this is based on the limited information you tell us about the vehicle. When you completed the online valuation on 10/23/2022, you declared that the vehicle had no mechanical or physical defects. We always carry out a professional appraisal before making a final offer and we have attached the results of that professional appraisal which indicates that the vehicle had both mechanical issues and physical problems.
We have reviewed the appraisal notes with our pricing team and listened to all the phone calls associated with this transaction. Our records show that we never made an offer higher than $3,500. If you do have any written or recorded evidence of us offering $4,500, we will absolutely honor it.
Unfortunately, the damage that was discovered during the physical appraisal of the vehicle negatively impacted what we could pay for the vehicle.
We remain committed to giving you a transparent and fair process and trust the attached documents and review of our physical inspection helps clarify why we arrived at the price we did once we had an opportunity to inspect this vehicle in person.
Kind regards,

This was at the "We Buy Any Car dot Com" location in ********, **. This company, knowing the year, (age), mileage, general condition, and having reviewed two photos of the vehicle stated they would give me $2175. or close to that for the vehicle.I spoke with the manager, and asked him specifically if the offer could be significantly below that offer once they inspected it. He then asked for the photos. I sent him four photos, and i know he reviewed at least two of them, and at that point he responded to my question stating, "It could be a couple hundred dollars different, but generally it will be within that range." So, I went ahead with an appiontment for the following day. I then collected my title, made arrangements to buy another car, (based on expecting at least $1800. from this company, and arranged a ride home from my brother. The next day I drove to their location. The employee I had spoken to was there, and began inspecting my vehicle. He said he was amazed how there was no rust on a vehicle that old, and mentioned how great a condition it was in several times during his inspection. I told him it drove very smoothly too, and asked him to drive it. He did, and again said how nice it was. 20 minutes later he said, "I'm sorry, but they are only going to give you $1325." I asked how that could be given the estimate of $2175, and the excellent condition of the vehicle. He said it wasn't up to him, and his bosses would only give me $1325. When I asked again how that could be he quoted, "based on the age, mileage and flaws in the appearance, that's all they will give you." He repeated this line several times. My complaint is that this company already knew the age and mileage of the vehicle when they quoted me $2175. The flaws they were referring to were scratches on the front and back bumpers which clearly could be seen in two photos I sent to this employee. (ALL THIS WAS KNOWN when they offered me $2175!), How can they take 40% of amount quotedBusiness Response
