    12/29/2022 through 01/01/2023 $2,000 They advertised a television, which didn’t work. They advertised a pool, which was so cold you could not go in it. They advertised a restaurant with a New Year’s Eve buffet, the food was so cold you could not eat it. They advertised activities, there were none. We had to leave the resort to find things to do. The New Year’s Eve bill included a tip, which they did not tell you about before you received the bill. There was a party for the guests which we did not attend but it turned out the party was directly under our room so we couldn’t sleep until it was over. So no tv, no pool, no activities… these were all advertised on the website but they did not have them. Cold food was not advertised but if it was, we would not have gone there!

    To The Better Business Bureau, We need to file a complaint with your agency against Shawnee Village Resort in hopes that the BBB can investigate them as a company. We have been brutally lied to by their representatives about the timeshare membership they sold us. We purchased this timeshare with the intention of traveling worldwide, but that never happened. We were told that we could sell this timeshare whenever we wanted, which was another lie. We have invested over 6.5k and still cannot sell this timeshare like we were promised. We have attempted to share these concerns directly with Shawnee Village, along with our intentions to cancel our membership, but they have failed to respond to our correspondence. At this point, we are certain that this company has scammed us. If Shawnee truly cared about their owners, they would have reached out to address our concerns. At this point, the only thing Shawnee can do to rectify this situation is to release us from this timeshare membership and refund us our money.  Please have someone contact us immediately.
