    We hired ***************************** began work building our deck at the end of summer 2023. On the rare occasion that they did show up to work, they would show up for a few days, then you wouldnt see them for weeks. After multiple email/calls/text attempts of trying to contact them, I would finally hear back from them with another excuse for why they havent been there working. I was told in November 2023 that they would be back to finish the job and then they didnt come back. In December, I was told that theyd be back after the holidays & the deck would be completed within 2 weeks, but again they didnt come back. In February 2024, I was still chasing after them to come back to complete my deck. Finally, they told me they would not be coming back. They abandoned my deck halfway through the project. I have 2 young children & this deck has been a huge safety hazard to try to keep them away from a 2 story deck with loose boards, no railings, a giant hole in the top of the staircase, electrical wires hanging all over the place, no enclosures, etc. They agreed to return my money & deposits owed ($35,768) but I have not seen that money yet. At the end of March 2024, I was told in writing that I would receive a refund check by the end of the week, which never came. When I contacted them, I was told that they didnt have the money to pay me back. This company strung me along for 8 months (when it shouldve been a 2-3 week job). Then they breached our contract & will not refund me my money, which is preventing me from hiring a new contractor to finish the mess they left in my backyard.
