Complaint Regarding Product Quality and Incomplete Refund Request for Full Reimbursement of Shipping Charges To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent and highly disappointing experience with Paul Fredrick for order S803654 On [insert order date], I placed an online order (Order # if available) for clothing items totaling $145.33, including $15.00 for shipping. Upon receiving the package, I immediately found that the clothing did not resemble the images on the website in either appearance or feel. As a result, I repacked the items the same day they arrived and promptly returned them.I was surprised to find that, despite returning the items unused and in original condition, I was only refunded $130.33. This refund excludes both the $15.00 shipping fee I initially paid and includes a $9.99 return fee, which I was not clearly informed about during the purchase process.Given that the items were grossly misrepresented and my dissatisfaction was immediate and well-documented by my swift return, I believe it is unreasonable and unfair to charge me for both the outbound and return shipping. I respectfully request that Paul Fredrick refund the full $145.33 I paid, including the $15.00 shipping fee, as part of standing by their customer satisfaction policy and fair business practices.This was my first experience shopping with Paul Fredrick, and unfortunately, it has left a lasting negative impression due to what I feel are misleading product representations and unfair refund handling. Our return policy is easily accessed on our site for all visitors. We clearly state that outbound shipping is not refundable, as well as the return shipping fee for using our label. Use of our label is not required, and customers can opt to return items through other means. While we respect Mr. ********* decision to return the items, the images and descriptions online were accurate. As a goodwill gesture, we did not apply the return label fee. But to also refund the outbound shipping would not be appropriate in this instance.Customer Answer

I have a few shirts I bought and with in a few months it has begun to tear and rip and fray. I paid almost 200 dollars for 3 shirts and this quality is horrible. I bought more shirts and reached out about the previous ones. No one wants to help me they just say theres nothing that can be done. Takes a week to hear back from them. All I want are replacements for the shorts that are ripped and frayed. For that price shirts should last longer than a few months as dress shirts.Business Response

These shirts were purchased a year ago (June 2024). When discussing the issue, the customer admitted to taking the *********************** for dry cleaning - which we do not recommend due to risk of damage. Care instructions are machine wash/tumble dry, which are included with the items. The damage shown is consistent with the use of dry cleaning. Since our care instructions were not followed, we unfortunately are unable to provide replacements.Initial Complaint

I had ordered 3 items from this brand, and ended up returning them around Feb 24, 2025. The return portal is from the 90s, and it doesn't generate an email with the label. After 3 weeks of returning the item, the brand refuses to acknowledge the return, nor are they ready to refund.They keep telling me I need to share the tracking details, even though the label was generated via their system. Frankly, this is outright cheating -- they wont share the label details, won't say where my return is, and won't refund my ********** step will be to report them to my state's attorney general for deceitful practices and also file a chargeback.Business Response

We certainly understand the frustration Mr. **** felt while waiting for a refund. In this case, we only received his return at our warehouse on 3/12/25. I have place 3 orders online at ********************** order numbers are S612452 , S612435 , S612193 and 8 days later the prices went down 40% as a promotion if you buy more than 3 items and I did buy more than 3 items and that is a difference of more than 500 dollars since the total on my 3 orders were 2000 dollars . And Paul Fredrick .com offers a price adjustment within 14 days and its been less than 14 days and they did not give me the price adjustment and I want it since its according to their policy. Their prices are lower now even after the discounts they gave me especially on orderS612435 on the shirts and this company is NOT honoring their adjustment policy where they match the lower prices within 14 days but o called several times and I chatted with Evvy customer representative but these people are rude and unprofessional and unhelpful and unfriendly. They refuse to honor their adjustment policy and I have bought from them thousands of dollars
order S612435 has several shirts that their price was lower than what I paid even after all discounts given . I paid 88 dollars for each shirt and the price now is 48 dollars
this is a shady business and dishonest company that does not honor their policies when it comes to adjustment

I relied upon the statement on their website clearly stated, perfect fit guaranteed. I ordered several items including shirts and slacks. The slacks I had altered and when I requested a return of the slacks as they did not fit, I was told altered slacks are not returnable and there was language to that effect when I requested alterations! This is clearly a deceptive practice as their perfect fit guarantee should require this deceptive company to honor my return request. I am currently looking into possible criminal action against the unscrupulous and false claims made by this company!Business Response

While we do list a fit guarantee, just like any policy there can be exclusions. One of those exclusions is that altered pants cannot be returned. This is a reasonable policy used by virtually every apparel company. That exclusion is listed on the very same page as our fit guarantee (see attached). In addition, we provide a second notice while selecting the item for purchase. As shown in the second attachment, when alterations are chosen the customer is notified that the items are now non-returnable.
Instead of being an example of unscrupulous or deceptive behavior, this is an example of a company taking extra steps to ensure customers understand when an item is non-returnable before deciding to purchase.

Hi, I returned my purchase from November 8, 2022 for 327,75, and still have not received a refund. I have called at least 3 times and get told each time that there is some sort of delay. October 23,2022, Sunday evening Hawaii Time, I ordered a White Shirt online from Paul Fredrick Men's Shirt store (company located in Baltimore, MD.) I paid for the shirt, plus the tax and extra fee to have the purchased item shipped to me "next day service." October 25, I received a message stating my shipment will arrive approximately Nov. 1, 2022. I then called Paul Fredrick customer service to inquire why my shipment will be arriving at that date. The gracious customer service agent stated that they should have contacted me because, they DO NOT send their products via 2nd day air to Hawaii. 1. There was no communication upon receiving my tender. 2. There is not statement in their website stating NO 2nd DAY AIR for the state of Hawaii. 3. The company processed my tender, had I not communicated with the company, I would not know that they don't do 2nd day air to Hawaii. 4. I stated to the customer service agent that I needed the shirt for my Father's Funeral on Friday, October 28, 2022. 5. I asked for a refund. However, the agent told me that I should wait for the shipment and then go through their refund process. I demand a full refund immediately. What I paid for, the product and the service has NOT been tendered by the company.
