Today is the ninth time Ive had to call for repair of the boiler Boehmer installed in 2018. They installed it incorrectly which led to condensation damage of my home. I had to call the boiler manufacturer to guide Boehmer through the repair. Then the heat exchanger. Then the spark wire. Then the insulation fell on the burners. Then repiping. Then the pilot needed cleaned. Keep in mind we called yearly and paid for seasonal checkups. Todays problem comes 24 days after the most recent service. And the process of getting someone to come has been difficult every time. I called at 2:15 this afternoon and was promised a tech would be here between 4-6 PM. Nothing by 6:05. I called and was told a tech would call me. Nothing by 6:37. I called and yelled. Got a call back from the on-call tech. Said someone would be here in about a half hour and call first. 7:40 and still nothing. The assigned tech finally called at 7:44 PM and said half hour. Im writing this before he arrives. I continue to call Boehmer because I expect them to service this defective boiler for as long as we have it, or until they choose to replace it.Review from Gretchen W

Boehmer Heating and Cooling helped me complete boiler wiring work I could not of done by myself. They have top notch, skilled and certified technicians. I felt like they cared about me both in how they charged me, and how they treated my time. The bonus was they figured out a complex problem for me and made it look easy. I contacted Boehmer because my less than two year old furnace (purchased from Boehmer along with an air conditioner over the past 7 years) would not ignite. The call center associate informed me of the $89.00 service fee for a technician to come and diagnose the issue. Upon arrival the technician removed the heat sensor, wiped it a few times with sandpaper, reinstalled the sensor and the furnace ignited. The entire process took no more than 5 minutes, besides having to pay the initial service fee of $89.00 I was charged an additional $80.00 for the heat sensor to be wiped with sandpaper three or four times...really ! If that's how loyal customers are treated I am considering looking elsewhere for my heating/ac needs.Review from Rose O

I have been satisfied with the furnace maintenance from this company for several years but when my ac went off the service tech came - on time - and checked the unit. Not the thermostat nor the outside equipment. After some time he said I needed a new computer panel and would give me an estimate once he got back to the office. That afternoon I got a call telling me they would have to order a “full package”. The panel could not be broken out and sold separately.. Cost wold be $1200+. Called another service company - tech checked furnace, compressor and thermostat. Guess what - ac kicked in!!!!!! The old wall thermostat needed jiggled. I paid for a new one - not hundreds more for something I didn’t need.

I would like to apologize for the experience you had with our company when we were attempting to address your issue. We do our best to ensure that our technicians are trained to properly diagnose issues that they come across in the field, unfortunately sometimes an incorrect diagnosis can be made. The full package you mentioned is a kit from the manufacturer, sometimes the modifications they design to resolve issues can get in-depth and require multiple components that work together to complete the repair. The repair that was quoted was for one of those and needed both parts to work properly, changing out just the board, had that been what you needed, would have resulted in another failure shortly thereafter. Im glad to hear that your unit is back up and running and hope youre staying cool through this muggy weather. Although I would rather have seen our technician find this fault and take care of it for you. I have brought this to his attention and have gone over some diagnostic steps so that this doesnt happen again in the future. I bought a furnace and air conditioner from this company in 2009; 13 years ago. I have had repeated and multiple issues with the system starting 2 years after my purchase. Every technician who has ever worked on it over the years (I have only called this company for service by the way) told me what an awful system it was and that it was a lemon. Yesterday their technician came to inspect and clean. He called and said he would be here in 5 minutes. He showed up 70 minutes later. The air-conditioning was working fine. I have no idea what he did as he could not explain to me in laymen's terms. In the end what I got out of our conversation was him telling me yet again what an awful system it was and that I should just buy a new one. I was so discussed I told him to just put everything back as it was and leave. By 6 PM the temperature was 80 degrees in my home so I shut the system off. Today I called a new company who came by 9AM. They informed me that the air conditioner had dye all through it and was turned off. I specifically told the Boehmer Technician not to do anything to just put everything back as it was. I also told him that I did not want him putting any dye in it. They told me there is a small leak. They fixed and told me I would be good for the rest of the summer. I will buy a new furnace and air conditioner next year from my new company.Boehmer Heating & Cooling Response

Update: I ended up getting a new furnace/ac system last week as I did not want to worry about it all winter. With the new installation I learned that the system you sold me 13 years ago was substandard (btw- it was your own brand) and that ductwork was lacking and needed reconfigured. To future consumers...stick with a brand name like ******. Steer clear of this company.
