    I have filed for a divorce back in April 11, 2022. I could not send back the legal paperwork and was trying to find out how to reach back to the lawyer. Now I am finding out the attorney is deceased. I would like to know if someone took over my case and if I can still continue my divorce?

    I filed for a divorce in 2022. I was told that court was backed up due to covid and I would be notified once my divorce was final. I've moved out of state twice since filing and lost contact. Recently I inquired but the phone numbers have been disconnected. I'm just now finding out about his death. In response I just want my divorce decree. Me and my ex have both filled out and signed all applicable paperwork. I paid for all my services so I'm just wanting a resolution.

    We were told by the attorney handling this to mail the paperwork in and once he receives it he will turn it over to the judge. I have emailed him and have not received anything back.

    This is a Davis Divorce client.  ******** ***** **** ** *** ***** I am assisting his estate in finishing his files.  I have been in touch several times with *** *****, as late as this week. His case is still with the Judge in Potter County, PA and it should be resolved this month.

    I have signed divorce papers that need to be turned in and the lawyer is now deceased. I payed for extra services. I was never notified of his passing or who would be covering my case for him. I have nowhere to send these signed papers now.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 2******** and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.



    I also have not received anything past the initial packet sent prior to 9-22-2022, i had called multiple times after receiving a small post card stating something was sent but was unable to ever reach a person past a secretary that had said he will return your phone call and never did. Also i have no docket number or proving information that a case was ever started indicating nothing has actual been done to this point.

    On 04/17/2023 I paid Davis Divorce Law $205 for a divorce sent back the documents to proceed and I haven't heard from any one found out ******** passed away and some one else is handling the case but no contact from any one to tell me anything on process or to be able to contact

    Just saw another BBB complaint stating attorney passed away and my divorce is not final and I haven’t heard anything from the person covering his cases. Please contact me asap.

    I have paid this office for an uncontested divorce and signed and sent required documents since April and have not heard back. They do not respond to emails, nor is either of their phone numbers ever answered. There is no voicemail, etc.
