I bought a dental insurance from Cigna Healthcare and because of a horrible service I called to cancel the insurance. They say that I need to give them 28 days prior to fill a cancelation or the policy will shows as they cancel the policy for not make the payment. So, they will get the premium for a month without making any service. I thing this is not fair, and I want to write this complain showing that I cancel with them today.

Cigna employees dont know what theyre doing. Twice now Ive set up autopay for my monthly premium and they fail to actually go through with the autopay. Next thing I know Im being told my insurance isnt active due to non payment! Imagine my confusion! I call Cigna and they play dumb, in both instances. First I speak with billing, and when I ask for a supervisor the girl doesnt want to send me there. She says Im going to send you to pharmacy **** I ask her why and say I dont understand why shes sending me there. She sends me anyways. I tell the girl in pharmacy **** that I didnt need to speak with her, that I actually needed the billing supervisor. I swear the only employee Ive spoken to with some sense is ******* in pharmacy ****. she transferred me to billing supervisor who then transferred me somewhere else. All of these people are telling me different stories about my accounts. Then the billing supervisor tried to tell me that the reason my autopay didnt work is because I apparently set it up with a credit card. I DONT EVEN OWN A CREDIT CARD!!! LOL. I told her that and then she goes ohhh youre right its a debit card, well I dont know what happened. I ended up just hanging up. Theyre absolute imbeciles!

Cigna's processes have gotten much for complicated and unnecessarily elongated over last few years. This results in crucial medications taken forever to be approved and are often denied, even though clear documentation is provided for the medical necessity. In today's AI-driven world it should not take a health care company months to review documentation and medical history and need only to deny the request. Cigna needs to drastically improve and shorten their processes to benefit the patients not themselves.

Six to eight weeks after they filled a prescription they send me a notice that they charged me the wrong price and I owed them money. This has happened twice and when I called the representative just reads off a script that I owe them money and refuses to explain why.

Cigna is a Horrible insurance company, currently the company denied my 13 y.o son coverage for Human Growth hormone a medication he has been on since he was 4 y.o. My son doctors has given all the information for continued coverage of medical necessary medication for a minor. This company has absolutely no morals, to deny a child medication he needs to GROW during the puberty. Try explaining that to a 13 yo boy who just wants to grow like his peers.

They charged me 1635 for my dental work. They said my dentist was out of network, but she showed up in my search as in network. The cost should have been less than a hundred dollars because they gave price estimates.

This is the absolute worst insurance company I have ever had. They are stealing peoples money and have the worst coverage for health insurance even with a PPO . EVERYTHING needs a pre approval .... took 8 months to get 1 of my surgerys approved that caused me to have complications and added 2 more surgeries because of how long I had to wait . I do not recommend this company . If you're work is using this company I suggest you do everything you can to help them switch if possible or get other coverage as well. Im considering switching complete jobs because the company here uses them and the cost is absolutely outrages . paying ****** mo for a single person and then all the added cost and cant get anything approved for months is insane .

My son received anethesia for dental surgery on 12/06/2024. Although the oral surgeon was "in network" for dental, the third-party anethesiologist was "out of network" for our medical insurance with Cigna. Anethesiologist said they would provide clear directions and documents to file the claim, however. Which they appeared to do. I submitted the paperwork, first to dental insurance, per anethesiologist guidance. Waited for the expected denial of claim and then sent it, along with other documents to Cigna. They signed for it on 3/6/2025. Crickets chirping for a couple of weeks, so I called on 3/17. They stated they did not yet show receipt of my package. It was a couple more weeks before they verbally acknowledged on a follow-up call. After subsequent calls on 4/02, 4/10, 4/23, and 4/24, I was finally told on another call on 5/12, that my documentation was missing a diagnostic code (later determined to be "AA") on a claim form and would eventually be denied for that reason. I asked for the code and was told it could not be provided. The anethesiologist googled it and found it. They redid the claim form and shared with me that same day. I submitted via email, without acknowledgment. I called again on 5/15, and was instructed to respond to an email message through their website, resubmitting those attachments. I did. Again, now acknowledgment. Called again on 5/16, verbally told documents were received and that a decision would be made in 10 business days (May 30th). I called on June 2nd. Told it would be a few more days. I called on June 4th, told nothing had been done and that agent was "escalating for processing". Called on June 6th and was told claim was not opened until 5/29 and it would be 30 business days from that date. None of this gets documented in follow-up email or the website account. So, they just invent new answers, every time I call. *****. Deny. Defend. They are very good at that.
