      My complaint is like many others that I’ve read about on the bbb.org site. I bought an electric razor on 11/5/2020 that broke. It came with a 2 year manufacturer warranty and a 1 year EXTENDED WARRANTY from the ***** ****** Credit Card. I provided invoices of the purchase as requested along with other requested documentation. I was told that I didn’t need a copy of my credit card statement if the invoice showed that the charge was made to my credit card which it clearly showed. Whatever I sent in didn’t seem to satisfy their requests. I finally sent in a full copy of my credit card statement which showed that credit card rewards were also used in the purchase. This is allowable to use rewards points per the credit card website for full reimbursement. Instead, they sent a partial reimbursement to me. They don’t follow their written information about their extended warranty program. Calling in didn’t really help either as the reps would transfer me, I would be on extended hold times and then speak to reps that weren’t knowledgeable about their own program. This is a company that seems motivated to make it extremely difficult to get a proper reimbursement per their own program. They Repeatedly ask for information on items that have been sent to them. They Disagree with their own written statements which say that only an invoice is needed. The reimbursement procedure is also difficult to navigate. User ids and passwords are lengthy and sent on separate emails. I can see why there are numerous complaints, a D- rating, etc. this company hides behind using terms like valuable customers, etc but are motivated to not give the full benefit deserved.

      One star is generous. It took 11 months to resolve my claim despite it being a clear cut example of when travel insurance should kick in. After dealing with an unforeseen illness (with no preexisting condition), a canceled honeymoon, and mounting medical bills, this claims process to get a refund so we could rebook our honeymoon (which I thought would be straightforward) ended up being a slap in the face that often brought me to tears. We're talking $17,000 meaning we could not rebook our honeymoon until a claim was paid out. It seems like no fewer than a dozen people handled our claim, each offering contradictory or circular requests and next steps. Everyone I spoke with on the phone was polite and sympathetic, but it was a different person every single time and it felt like my claim never moved forward without me calling for an update. I was told there were over 100 documents in my file by the end which would make me laugh because they kept requesting the same things over and over again. I ended up receiving a claims result with a random number that I can't even tie out to the initial claim I submitted. Nothing itemized to show how the final payout amount was reached and which expenses were declined. I followed up for clarification (perhaps an EOB) on December 4, 2023 and still have not heard back. I have thrown my hands in the air in exasperation after being left out $5,000 after a year of back and forth. Ironically, the longer it took them, the more the travel credits we did receive would expire, so it ended up costing them way more than if they'd been able to handle the claim quickly. I suppose I should be grateful for what I got, but I consider it very shady given I pay $550 a year for this credit card benefit. It's unacceptable, bordering on fraudulent.
