      Oak Tree -Complaint Summary The reason for this complaint is that on 6/20/2025 ***** and ***** **** paid Mr. **** ******** DBA Harrisburg Tree Service a deposit of $3,250.00 (Invoice *****will be attached) to have an oak tree cut down located in our back yard at ************************************************************** Prior to this he told us and Susquehanna Township officials this tree is very dangerous and could fall on our home. Two Township officials visited our home and told us they were concerned for our safety and recommended we should have the tree removed. Also, it was mentioned that if we did nothing, the township would have it removed and bill us for the cost. Exact dates were not given. The next day 6/20/2025, ***** **** called Mr. ******** and set up an appointment at our home at 10:00AM. At this meeting we discussed when the tree would be removed and he said it he would start the work before 6/30/2025. We also requested his proof of insurance and he said that he would provide that information. By 7/28/2025, the tree had not been removed and there was no proof of insurance. At this point, we decided to end this service arrangement. On 7/28/205, Mr. ******** was working near our home. ***** and Jewel went there and told him we no longer required his cervices. We asked for the return of our $3,250. Deposit. Mr. ******** said that he would refund the $3,250. There were two witnesses. On August 6, 2025, ***** and ***** **** started a follow up of the recovery of the $3,250 refund by reaching out to Mr. ********* This was done by calling his cell phone , text messages, emails and calling Harrisburg Tree Service. Mr. ******** would answer his cell phone and give an answer such as I need to talk to my staff or that it will be taken care of it in a few days. He never replied to the other methods of communications. A list of the events and refund recovery efforts will be provided as an attachment. As of 9/15/2025, the refund of the $3,250 has not been made.

      The proprietor, ****, did not finish the requested job of felling dead trees and removing the trees from the property. He asked for final payment with the promise of finishing the job and did not finish the job. Multiple attempts were made to get him back out to finish the job which he agrees he did not finish.

      Company came back but did not complete the work. We would like to receive a partial refund and no longer work with this business.
