    We rented a storage unit for less then a month cleaned out the unit when we moved from nesquehoning to coaldale due to legal battle with our former landlord our security deposit was returned and we are getting the run around from **** about getting our deposit back because he has a mess with income tax information his exact words. He keeps saying give him a few more days.

     The tenant rented a storage unit and paid  for the period  8-30-24 to 9-30-24 .$68.90 Rent and tax was due on 10-1-24 and tenant requested a few days after 10-1-24 to move out. I told her i would only charge her a prorated amount for the extra days she was still in the unit and she said she would pay that amount. I discovered that she had moved out on October 5, ****************************** pay the prorated  amount for the 5 days. I tried multiple times to contact her by phone, text, email and postal mail but did not receive any response. On October 22, 2024, I mailed her CHECK 1934 dated 10-22-24 for $53.92  ( $65 Security deposit minus $11.08 Rent & tax for the period October 1-5 2024 ). The refund check was returned to me later in October with the markings - NOT DELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED / UNABLE TO FORWARD.  After that, I again tried multiple times to contact her to get the refund check to her but I was unable to contact her. On 3-14-25, I received a phone call from her, which was almost 5 months from the date  ( 10-22-24) I mailed her the refund. I told her I would look for the returned letter  but at that moment, I didn't know where it was located and I was in the middle of preparing Taxes for my  business as well as my personal taxes and I would call her if I found it or make out a replacement check if I could not find it. I also told her i would look for it as time permitted and she said she understood. I found the check on WEDNESDAY, 3-19-25 and called her  and returned it to her that day.  Today, 3-20-25, I received this letter from the Better Business Bureau. I believe that I did everything I could to remedy the situation as soon as possible. Thank you.
