On 7/3/24 I placed a order on the website for a speaker. As of 7/16/24 I have not received the speaker or any updates. When tracking the order on the website it just says unfulfilled. When trying to contact them you can send an email... I sent and have not received a response. There is a chat window, I started a chat 7/10/24 and noone has responded. They did take my money on 7/5/24. I called a corporate number and they said they can not help me and that they have a separate company that does online orders and they also have no phone numbers to reach that company. Unfortunately I believe I may of been scammed by this company.Initial Complaint

I recently purchased an electronic speaker from Altec Lansing in November 2023. However the unit, IMW-999, stopped working in May 2024 and would no longer play music. Since it is still covered under the limited warranty, I contacted Altec Lansing for a warranty replacement. They sent me a return shipping label and I shipped the unit back to them.However, when they shipped back my replacement unit to me, they sent a completely different product, IMW-1000 (a mini-speaker). After contacting their support team to get this issue corrected and a correct replacement sent, who is clearly outsourced and has no real connection to the US home office, no response has been received. The support team stated "you will receive a callback in 48 hours". That never happened. Then I filed another complaint and they said I would receive a callback in 24 hours, which also never happened.This company is clearly trying to scam it's customers out of their money and is irreputable. I bought a the Altec Lansing HydroJolt Speaker from a Target on 4/16/23. It stopped charging on 3/20/24. I looked up how to file a claim from Altec Lansing to get a replacement at least and when I sent an email I got one back immediately stating that I had been blocked and the email address was rejected. I purchased some Altec earbuds & charged them for over 14 hours & it STILL shows one blue light (meaning 25% charged). I TRIED to call & talk with a rep but I couldn't understand much due to his accent & he repeatedly didn't listen to what I said. He told me to return them to the store. Tried to get warranty service on my headphones. Called them multiple times and they promised a shipping label would be sent to my email. I have checked my spam and all mail. Never received this email. This is the first time I have ever had any problems receiving an email from any company, so I know it's not a problem on my end. It seems as though they are skirting around providing warranty service for my headphones. I do not recommend anybody buy from this company. Their customer support is abysmal and obtaining warranty service is made to be incredibly difficult.Initial Complaint

Hello I purchased an Altec Lansing Hydrajolt S/N ************ for a total of $60.41 on May 23, 2022 by October 2022 it stopped working, I have a receipt. It will not turn on or charge or anything. It is dead. I contacted customer service back in November 2022 where they told me they would send me an envelope to return the item for replacement. No envelope came. No further directions or communication has been received. I have filled out their contact ** on their website and called their number with no response. *********************************************************************** Their customer service number of ************ does not appear to be functional. It is always "User busy". I am getting worried as it is getting pretty close to the year for the warranty. I am fine getting a replacement or a refund. At this point I'm just annoyed I have a nonfunctional speaker in the house with no resolution to this issue.Customer Answer

Other than their customer service unfortunately sending a vaguely spam looking email from ***** that went to junk mail that was actually a shipping label and customer service phone lines open in the evening eastern time.

I purchased headphones manufactured by Altec Lansing. The headphones were under warranty coverage when they broke. I contacted the company who agreed that they were under warranty and offered to send a return shipping label. I've made three phone calls and sent 10 emails. They continually promise that the shipping label will arrive within 24 hours but it never has. It is not in spam folders or junk mail folders as they suggest. When I try to articulate the problem to the company they once again respond that they are sending the shipping label but it never arrives. I suspect there is a technical flaw on their end which prevents the shipping label for being sent to me but they seem unable or unwilling to resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

2/24/2022 purchased Altec Lansing xpedition 4 ********* speaker for $91.15. 1 year warranty. Sent this message to Altec Lansing on 2/4/2023... It is not working properly. Sometimes it will just shut off when plugged in. Other times it will lose the ********* connection and will not turn off. It is still under warranty.Their reply... I filed 2 times about my speaker replacement and both times u lost or can’t find the case on my speaker if u don’t take of it I will have lawyer deal with it see we it should I say he’s got all my emails with u guys and both my warranty replacement clam paper works to and all my phone calls if any that I record so he will have field day with us. I purchased the Altec ********* wireless speaker. Upon arriving home and opening the package I found the device to be completely defective and non-functional. I called Altec support who provided an RMA number and said a replacement would be shipped within 10-15 days. It has been nearly a month since returning the defective device and the customer service representative I called today cannot tell me when the replacement device will ship. All the representative kept saying is the device will ship soon which is the same response I received when calling for a status update two weeks ago. The lack of communication and responsiveness is terrible customer service. Nearly a month has transpired and I cannot obtain a meaningful status of the product replacement. I was also provided with a corporates number to call which allowed me to leave a voicemail message. To date I have not received a call back concerning my case. I am very disappointed in the companies lack of customer service.
