They steal your money. We went to a camping expo and signed a purchase agreement with a non refundable deposit. After we signed we realized that the price on the camper was less than the price on the purchase agreement. After leaving the expo they emailed us a new purchase agreement, they told us the sway bar would be a couple hundred dollars, it was almost $1000, they changed the terms of the loan causing our monthly payment to go up. One employee told my husband one reason the terms were changed meanwhile the store manager told me a different reason, both being inaccurate. We denied the new purchase agreement and asked for our refund back because the purchase agreement was insufficient on its face due to the terms being different. It has been about a month now, no refund and the store manager continues to either ignore me or give me the run around that someone will be contacting me because there is a process to this. The store manager is **** Ianuelle

      Good Afternoon,
****** ******** came to the  Rv Show. They purchased an RV and sign the non-refundable deposit as shown in the bottom of the left hand corner of the buyers order. It was clearly signed by the non-refundable deposit.  This unit was immediately marked as sold and we were unable to sell it to anyone else.

We were able to get the customer the same payment as was offered on the buyers order.

If the customer no longer wants this unit we will as a courtesy we will switch this deposit to another trailer that he might be interested in.

We look forward to working with the customer in finding the correct unit that fits his needs.

On September 14, 2024, we went to the Hershey RV show to purchase a new camper. We negotiated a purchase from RV Value Mart for a new direct from the factory ordered camper. It was estimated to take 8 12 weeks. After four weeks, on October 7th, our camper was ready for pick-up. During inspection, the camper was weathered, stabilizers were rusted and several other items in need of repair were noticed. When questioned, we were given excuses and felt rushed to accept the camper. When asked why the mattress did not have plastic on it, the answer was "people don't like plastic". During another conversation when asked the same question, response was "they don't put plastic on mattresses anymore". We confirmed with the manufacturer this was not the case and have a photo from them showing the mattress covered in plastic. I regret leaving the dealership with the unit, however, at the time I felt I had no other option. Once home, we started inspecting the unit and found a long list of, issues, damage, wear, and discrepancies. We immediately reached out to RV Value Mart to request a return for our cash purchase price or a replacement of a new direct-from-the-factory unit as the unit was not "new" and not in the same condition as the one seen at the Hershey RV show. In speaking with the manufacturer, we were told the unit had been a dealer unit, meaning it had been sitting as a demo before it arrived at RV Value Mart.We have been passed from the dealership to the manufacturer and back several times over the past 3- weeks. We were offered repairs which we don't feel should be necessary on a new unit. We feel this was a bait and switch. If this was the unit we saw at the ********** show, we would not have made the purchase. The unit is currently in our garage awaiting resolution. I have more photos and several emails I can share if necessary.

We are responding to the complaint from ******, ******.

We at RV Value Mart always enjoy working with customers and look forward to resolving issues that we can. The customer is correct that they did buy this unit from the Hershey RV Show. At the show we told our customers to expect an excessive lead time because we always like to under promise and over deliver. This mean we often times are able to get the unit in earlier than promised which makes the customer very happy!

After the show we ordered there unit as promised from Forest River.

Alittle later Forest River notified us that the unit is complete and ready for pickup which we did. The unit was brought in and prepped for the customer and they picked the unit.

When we were notified of the customer concerns and wishes for a replacement unit because of issue they are seeing. We addressed the customer concerns with ************ and the customer wishes were denied buy Forest River.

Forest River did say that the concerns she has ( warranty issues) will be addressed under warranty and that we can make sure that the unit is great shape. Wew are requesting to do that warranty repair and address customers concerns.

This was the direction from Forest River. They put warranty on trailers to cover any concerns like these.

This unit was NEVER USED- NEVER SOLD and returned like accusations that were made. It was shipped brand new from the factory.

Please contact us to schedule the warranty work.

      Thanks

       Complaint: 22499420

I am rejecting this response because at the Hershey ** Show we were told the unit had not been produced and would not be built until our order was placed (September 16, 2024).  The unit that arrived was built in May, 2024, and was not in the condition of the one on display at the Hershey ** show (display unit was built in August, 2024).  We were told that unit was sold so an order would be placed.  Why was I given a unit from May, weathered, rusted and in need of repairs?  This question has yet to be answered by anyone at RV Value Mart.  My initial concerns were dismissed; when asked about the jacks being rusted I was told "that happens as soon as it leaves the production line" (false statement); why is there no plastic on the mattress which is dirty, they replied, "mattresses no longer have plastic on them from the manufacturer" (false statement).  I was told by Forest River the unit had been a dealer unit before arriving at RV Value Mart (email chain from October 14).  I was never asked if I was interested in a dealer unit and was never told this information upfront. It's apparent the unit had sat somewhere for 5+ months, which should have been disclosed as I was told the unit RV Value Mart was ordering had not yet been produced.  I understand the unit was never sold; however, the unit is in poor condition and I stand by my statement of this being a bait and switch to move old product.  I recently found that the display unit at the ** show had not been sold as I was told, and is currently sitting on RV Value Mart's lot.  Again, I believe they are trying to move old product.

I've also asked if anyone inspected this unit upon arrival from ************, no response, no proof.  I find it hard to believe this unit was "prepped" and not one item was repaired/corrected prior to it being shown to me.  If this was a "brand new from the factory" unit as claimed, it should not require such extensive repairs.  We also found physical damage to the roof we were not allowed to view at time of pickup.  I'm not in agreement with any type of warranty work.  I also do not want to have a "brand new from the factory" unit that has been refurbished.  The unit has been in my garage untouched and in the same condition it was received October 7.

I have been bounced around and dismissed for the past 4-weeks.  I have not made accusations and it's disheartening to know that either RV Value Mart or Forest River were trying to move old product, being passed off as "brand new" to a customer.  To me "brand new from the factory" means it rolled off the production line and was shipped directly to the customer.  It should not mean produced 5-months prior, sitting outside, possibly being shown and receiving foot traffic, exposed to the elements, rusted, and worn.  If this is the definition used by the manufacturer and dealership, the customer should be told in advance.  I ask Mr. ********************** to stand in the customers shoes for a moment, and understand this type of treatment is not good customer service and should be unacceptable.  I'm requesting a cash refund of my purchase to resolve this issue.

      Regards,

      ****** ******

RV Value Mart knew the awning repair was a ********************* claim when this repair started ( see check for $1112.26). The repair was more than first estimate and Insurance was in contact and estimated an adjustments check for$797.12. when the repair was complete the final bill was $2996.84. Progressive asked for some documents to account for the difference. and RV Value mart will not supply anything more than the repair order #******. RV Value mart will not release my Motorhome unless the bill is paid in full, and are holding my motorhome hostage. I need to pay this bill or RV will start charging me a daily storage fee for having my motorhome on their property. I have $500.00 deductible witch I have already $800.00 or $300 more just to get the repair started. I will the extra $287.46

Dealer sold ** an RV last June. Weve had many issues that they reluctantly repaired under warranty. We still have an issue with a stabilizing leveler theyve already replaced and need to replace again. They purposely delay communication and remediation in hopes of exhausting the warranty period.

I had a conversation with *******************, the general manager for the ********* location.  We had a good conversation, expressed our feelings which in turn I believe discussed with his staff.  He was able to schedule ****** for repair and upon inspection they identified multiple pin holes in 3/4 of the hydraulic lines; from the conversations, the inference was it was caused by the prior tech who replaced the first and second stabilizer.  They repaired them at no cost to us and added a new battery shelf and yearly inspection.  My recommendations to other buyers regarding warranty and maintenance, only work with ***.

On 2/29/2024 me and my fianc, ***************************************, went to the Manheim location for RV value mart and were met by a salesmen named ***********************************, whom I had spoken to the day before in regards to a delivery fee for said camper/trailer. When we arrived we told him our budget, and what we were looking for, and narrowed it down to a 2018 aspen trail Dutchman they had in stock. Listing price was roughly $16k before taxes and dealer fees. $18k after. ******** then told us that we could put down $1000 as a placeholder so it wouldnt be sold while we waited for the results of the financing application, and that if we werent approved hed give us back the deposit. We then left after giving him $1k in cash. We left at approximately 11:15-11:30 AM. The next day, 3/1/2024, we didnt hear anything from the salesmen, or anyone from RV value mart regarding our financing applications. I called the location and through their automated answering machine contacted their finance associate, *****. Never got the last name. We asked what was the hold up and he said he was missing information. Information we had given the day prior. We got alerts on experian that our credit files had been obtained by lenders, but got no call back from RVvalue mart. On 3/2/2024 me and my fianc drove back to the location in Manheim. Where I confronted the salesmen and their HR manager *************************** asking what was the answer to our finance applications with the bank lenders, which out of 2, were both declined. I explained after being denied that wed be backing out of the sale. I asked for my deposit back, both salesmen and HR refused, said it was up to *****************, finance director. After getting him on the phone, he also refused to return our deposit. Then, I explained that me and my fianc locked our credit files on experian. Only to later see at home that they had tried to access our credit information again, thankfully being blocked by the experian app.

Purchased a new 2022 ****** Rv travel trailer August 19 ,2023 final paperwork signed September 9th,2023. Dealership needed to replace dented microwave and fix electrical problem that was blowing a fuse, vent that was loose, shower door that was off track and attach sway bar. Tried to contact dealership in the two weeks that followed and no one one responded. Finally after this time we were able to reach someone and were told oh it's been ready. Picked up camper and discovered on the way home they had put sway bar on wrong and a taillight was not working. Took back two weeks ago and was told in writing that everything would be taking care of. Called to check today and was told oh it's ready but you owe $348.00 for fixing sway bar that they put on wrong and taillight. Was told their employee should not have told us it would be taking care of at no charge. I don't feel this is fair, we are going on 2 months and we haven't even gotten to use the trailer that we are already paying for.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY! BEWARE!!!The pick up experience was so bad I just have to let everyone know. Nowhere in the listing on the web does it say "As Is". ************************************************************************************************************************. I repeatedly heard “as Is” as a disclaimer for doing nothing during the delivery pickup.. I knew the overall condition from the website listing but had no idea that the pick up would be so hands off horrible. I expected the unit to be connected to power so I could go thru the fridge, stove, water, electric, etc. and see what worked/didn’t work, tires to be pumped and ready for travel, keys to work the lock. None of these things were made available to me. I made a mistake to purchase anyway and it cost me $1400 to replace a non-working fridge/freezer and $200 to replace a dead 0.00vdc battery. And, likely another $200 for new locks as they could not get the supplied keys to work the locks. All in all the experience “sucked 98%”. 2% + for the bottle of water. Hope this helps you all as I received NO HELP AT ALL, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM COMPANY! Read the attached document giving the full narrative of the horrible sale, delivery and service attempt.

My camper went in for service in November of 2022. A small leak needed to be fixed as well as the floor. It is now the end of May 2023 and no repairs have been made. I reached out several times to ask about the status of my repairs to only be told they haven't looked at it yet. It was not until I said that I was reporting them to the BBB that they even looked at the camper. I was told they could fix the minor leak but not the floor because it would take too long. The wrong part was ordered and I have to wait even longer for the repairs. I have lost hundreds of dollars having to pay for a camp site that I can't use. This company is unprofessional and incompetent.

My husband went to RV Value Mart in Bath. We looked at a 2018 ****** *****. While inspecting it we noticed in the corner closet that the wallpaper was wrinkled and I said to her that denotes water damage. So *** from RV Value Mart said oh it’s nothing. The cap on the break light has been off and the rain must have gotten in. Four days later after purchasing the rv, and we spent 2,000 in upgrades that valuemart did for us, we took a box cutter to the wall. It was HORRIBLE. Damage to the studs, mold, rotted wood and ant infestation. We immediately contacted them over a MONTH AGO, and they still have not given us any help or suggestions in how to make this right. They take your money quick and who they are when there is something wrong is who this company is

RV Value Mart has treated my husband and myself horribly since day one. There was warranty work that needed done to our camper and thats when the nightmare continued. They asked us to send pictures of the warranty damage in 12/21. On 2/8/22 I emailed Ryanto get an update, he asked me send pictures again which we already sent.He said he found them and they are going to order the parts. We called 4/22 and they said they were still about 5 mnths behind.Another call was made 9/22 the lady said that they wouldn't do any repairs since it wasn't under warranty. We had to prove that we have been trying for over a year to get it fixed. Finally 12/22 we dropped it off. They were aware of the problems from pics.A month later it was done.My husband drove 6 hrs total and went through the camper, he noticed that it was muddy and there were pieces of wood, insulation, and drywall. They didn't attempt to clean it.They claimed to work on the cable but 2 wks ago we were at a campground and no cable works in the camper. They claimed changing a fuse fixed it but that was not true.It used to work in our living room TV but now it doesn't work at all.  The cut on the floor from the main slide was fixed but 3 times of bringing the slide in and out the floor is sliced again in the same spot. They told my husband that the slides did not need to be adjusted but didn't attempt to find out why the slide is cutting the floors. My husband noticed that all the trim was gone on our slide.  He asked a technician and they told him they would not replace that so our camper looks horrible. We don't see any issues on the roof but time will tell.  They said there was no leak in the fresh water tank but soon as my husband put the hose in the fresh water tank to fill it leaked just 2 weeks ago.  Now our camper is out of warranty and supposedly fixed but it is not. We refuse to take our camper back because they aren't willing to fix items they say that are going to. So we need an option to get it fixed.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  The owner definitely did what he could considering the situation and we are completely happy with our new camper and love it.  It is unfortunate that we had to pay an additional $14,000 and an extremely higher interest rate to get out of the mess of the previous brand new camper.

      Regards,
