A written estimate was provided to home owner on 12/3/23 to complete work by One call do it all owned by *********************** (attaching). In total, $7000.00 was paid for the job. Final ************** completed and he said he would when he came back for a future job. After final payment, homeowner experienced a leak in the sink, the contractor came back to fix it(caused by their negligence to tighten the drain they removed during work). Homeowner noticed several faulty issues with the work (attaching reference) and contacted the owner to resolve. He blamed the homeowner but admitted work needed to be fixed and arranged a date to come back. Homeowner had another contractor come in and they advised me to not let him touch anything else because the work was so bad. *** came and was flustered when I wanted to talk about resolution. He left after he threatened to club the other contractor. He texted me asking what I wanted. I explained my concerns and said I wanted a full refund. He said he will try to get the money and then said he would have to take a loan. I explained again my issues and told him he had a week to resolve this with me before I take it elsewhere. After two days, we found an electrical outlet was buried by the grouted and tiled backsplash. When asked if they tested it beforehand and what he thought was fair after asking for an itemized bill of supplies and services, he said to have my attorney contact his. He did not provide a name or contact information for an attorney. Every single item he was contracted to do has major issues with it. The job, consisting of leveling and installing the cabinets, installing countertops and backsplash, installing 2 doors and moulding around window and outside door is all terrible work. The pictures show how unprofessional this work was. When asked to do the right thing, he blamed the homeowner for messing with the work, for not knowing what she was talking about, and he never finished the job he was contracted to do.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Timeline of events12/3/23-received $5000 to start the job, would not start without this amount down1/20/24-started job1/23/24-installed incorrect end caps, after telling me that they were right, he ended up removing them and installing the correct end caps, which look terrible from the pictures provided1/30/24-workers said work was done, I said about ******** on door and the worker said to talk to ***(owner) about it because of a conversation weeks earlier about possibly installing another door there, I said no, I want the moulding.1/31/24-Owner came for last check, didnt look at work, he said he will finish the moulding when he comes back to do the other work2/16/24-I reached out to ask where the estimate was for other work, he said he didnt think I wanted to start right away and provided estimate on 2/17/24, I said I would need to save money, no further discussion on finishing kitchen moulding(part of work he was paid for already)2/18/24-noticed kitchen sink leaking, they came 2/19/24 to tighten the sink drain, tried blaming it on the sprayer however, the sink drain wasnt installed correctly by them3/4/24-owner came to address a roof leak, I showed him some concerns I noticed, he told me its supposed to be like that (backsplash not finished on top)3/25/24- I noticed many other issues with the work and messaged *** the pictures and concerns. He called me and first blamed me for waiting so long and was confrontational. My mom could hear him being loud over the phone. I asked him if he looked at the pictures and can say that this work was quality. He then arranged to come up and meet me. I said to bring the moulding for the door.3/29/24-He and his team arrived. I said I wanted to talk first. Will explain that day below.3/29/24-He texted asking what I wanted. I was clear in responding that I wanted a full refund and explained why. He said let me see if I can get the money.3/30/24-He texted telling me to make a better deal for the money. I explained why again regarding none of the jobs he was hired to do were done correctly and the materials used were not correct or received damaged. I heard nothing back.4/2/24-painter took cabinet off the wall to paint and noticed the electrical outlet was covered completely. He and the electrician tested the outlet and it was live. I messaged *** about it with pictures and he told me to contact his attorney. I asked for a contact and have not heard anything back since then.In response to his written response to BBB/attotney general please see the following;-The leaking sink which he admitted to, is more evidence to suggest the lack of care, quality, and craftsmanship of this team. Re-Installing a drain and installing a door handle are very basic jobs of a contractor and they didnt even do that right. This speaks to the on-going issues with the job.-There was no misunderstanding with the moulding on the kitchen entryway. It was part of the original contract and I stated before his workers left that I wanted it done. Please see dates above regarding conversations of this matter.-3/29/24, when he said he was going to do moulding and I would not let him. Upon arrival, I told him that I wanted to talk first in the kitchen. His worker came in and I was talking to him and I ********************** Who the h*** are you? My boyfriend and other contractor were asking him if he noticed anything wrong with the work, asked what he would do to make this right, and said I was taken advantage of. *** was yelling and telling them to shut up and he would only talk with me. I tried showing him the work mistakes, he told me the basement door had to be cut like that because the wall isnt level, and then accused me of messing with the moulding saying someone was pulling at it. I asked him if he was serious in saying that! He asked what I wanted, I asked him what he thought was fair. He got visibly frazzled and walked out the front door. My boyfriend and contractor followed him to the front steps of my property and said come on, do the right thing here dont run away. He said from approx 15 yards away, get out of my face or Ill come over there and club you. I was in the doorway.-He left and texted/ not called/ me asking what I wanted. I told him a full refund of $7000 and reiterated why. He said he would try to get the money. The next day he responded about special order items and said he would need to get a loan for the money and that I wasnt going to pull the countertops off and redo it. The next day I responded the same, let him know that not one job was completed as hired to do. I said I wanted to fix this prior to going to attorney general. I did not hear back from him. I reached out via text to let him know about the buried electrical live outlet and he said to contact his attorney. I asked for the contact information and have not heard anything back from him.-Per the pictures and video attached you can see it was live. He said his team installed an outlet next to it, which is not true. If needed, I can get a legal statement from the contractor and electrician that this was live, as well as no outlet was installed next to it.-The outlet was never mentioned to be before they tiled over it. As you can see it was covered about 1/4 of the way by the cabinet without my knowledge it was a live outlet. After the backsplash was put on it was completely covered.-There was no discussion about the counters not being level or needing more money to do so. He never admitted they werent level until seeing the pictures that they werent level.-Accusing me of tampering with moulding. All of the moulding and pictures show the kind of work that was done. Why would I destroy work, all I want was for the work I paid for to be done correctly. The handle was falling off 2 months since they installed it with basic use.-He mentions that I was supposed to caulk the gaps in the moulding and woodwork. My painter said they were paid to finish the job. Finishing means they caulk and fix nail holes and have it ready for paint. This was not done. It was all left unfinished.Areas not addressed by this letter;-Doors were cut jagged with spaces all around them. They were received damaged.-Backsplash was never finished on top, backsplash is not uniform, the spacing is off-see pictures.-Moulding never finished in kitchen entryway or supplies received.-I never received receipts for any supplies.-The cement on the backsplash is cracking after 2 months.-End caps look horrible-see pictures-Moulding everywhere was cut wrong and looks horrible, not finished, jagged edges-Countertops and cabinets are not level-Said doors costed more because it needed casing, basement door was finished with wood they purchased and did not purchase a door with casingI can get statements from the painter, contractor, and electrician if needed. I asked for $7000 because not one job done correctly and costing me money to have the job redone, which means ripping it out and completely redoing. He admitted he would get me money and as of 4/26/24, I have received no contact from him and no money. I fully intend on taking this to court if this is not handled by these means.
Regards,
