I was planning to move to Pittsburgh, PA from Rockville, MD on July 1, 2023. I spoke to *** ******* from Vanity Van Lines on April 20, 2023. Once I decided to accept the quote I was given I was told I would have to give a deposit of $696.16, and I was sent an invoice. I paid the invoice sent and I have attached the paid invoice for reference. The invoice was paid with a Debit card from **** bank on April 20, 2023. I had a loss in my family in April and my whole life has had to be rearranged. I contacted Vanity Van Limes on May 9th and spoke to *** ****. I explained to him I would no longer be moving to Pittsburgh on the 1st of July and wanted to cancel the reservation. *** **** assured me he would take care of it and that the refund of my deposit should be back in my account with 10 business days. He also gave me his direct number so I could contact him directly if I did not receive the refund. I let a month go by and never received anything so I contacted *** **** again on or around June 9th or 10th. He explained that he had lost his administrative person who handled everything but he would do it himself. I said ok and hung up and that was the last time I spoke to *** ****. I called again the next week I didn’t receive my refund and I spoke to a *** ***. Then she told me she would reach out to her manager about the matter. Her manager is *** **** who already knows about the situation. I stayed waiting for a response from *** *** but received no such response so I called again and this time she told me I had to fill out a form requesting cancellation. She emailed me the form which was a ****** document I could not access. I emailed her back letting her know I could not access the document. She then sent me a text saying that the situation was already taken care of by her manager and I should receive my refund by Monday which was June 19th. I waited until Tuesday since Monday was a holiday , to text *** *** back and let her know I did not receive a refund. I will attach the texts
