    I called the store on 5.21 in the morning to ask about tailoring on a bridesmaid dress and they asked when the wedding was, I told them June 14th and they said to have it completed by June 12th I would need to bring the dress in that day and they had an appointment at 6p. There was no extra information given on the call. When I arrived I was told to try on the dress and the owner immediately started pinning and telling me prices, with nothing said about a consultation fee. I agreed to have one alteration made to the top of the dress. When I was told that I had to pay half of the amount now and half when I picked up I said ok and then they told me they only take cash or personal checks. I told her that no one told me this when I made my appointment and all I had was my credit cards and she said I would have to bring it back the next day. I said ok and left but before I got to my car I thought more about it and realized I just shouldnt get any work done so I turned back to the store and apologized and said that I would like to not have anything done and get my dress back. Thats when I was told that because I agreed to work I now had to pay the 60$ consultation fee. I was not told about this when I made my appointment, when I tried my dress on before she started pinning and it was not posted in the store. Both the cash/check policy and this consultation fee policy were not communicated at any point. I find this extremely upsetting and do not think its fair that now my dress is being held hostage by this woman for 60$.
