This is the short version. I have a character limit.Beginning of Nov, the owner and an assistant came to my home to repair a sagging floor by installing supports and build a false floor to correct the sag. His initial recommendation was to level the entire house for $14K. He came to our home and on the first day told us there was more work to do, repairing stairs to the basement and removing wood to bring down the floor, among other things. The next day, after being asked to look into our bathroom as well, he explained to us that our house was unstable and we should sell it before it collapses. An independent contractor found that none of that was true, and his proposed scope of work was far more than necessary. He recommended a plan which we gave to the owner (Frank) to implement. He poorly estimated his time frame, showed up six hours late on his fourth consecutive day working on the floor with someone that was not an employee (some random woman), and left an hour and a half later. At the time he stated that he felt the work on the downstairs supports his assistant was doing was sloppy and not up to his standard. He came back the next Monday to finish up and left while I was at work. He explained to me that he wasn't finished and had a plan, and then did not contact us again for two weeks, at which time he sent us an invoice. At this time we assumed he was done, and due to the sloppy work of all aspects of the job, we asked for a price reduction and to just call it quits. He got irate, demanded that we let him come back to fix it, and when we explained we didn't trust his work, he got verbally escalated, to the point of veiled threats in an email and no less than 25 phone calls in a period of 15 minutes. I will be filing a police report because of this but I would also like to seek some third party assistance in resolving this. 5 mb is not enough space; I've attached our most recent correspondence and an image of my call logs showing harassing contact.
