Monday Sept 25th, I called 800-GOT-JUNK and spoke to *****. I explained to her I had about 20-25 bags of broken- up drywall pieces. Each bag was light enough to carry one in each hand as I know b/c I carried them from inside my home to the curb (see pics) and 6 pieces of 4ft x 4ft pieces of drywall (basically a 4 ft x 8 ft pc broken in half). Cindy explained to me the size of the truck is: (see pics provided) 10 feet in length x 5 feet in height Based on what I had described to her, I would easily fall within the 1/8 minimum charge of $189 of an empty truck. I say “empty truck” b/c the truck that came here was not empty, it was full. As they loaded the bags, it took 2 operators to close and lock the rear door. Note: All events caught on my security system. In addition, a 2nd truck came out here to take the rest of the load. Lastly, they loaded the bags in the truck then quoted a price of $600. I pushed back with the operators, but they had me b/c they already loaded the bags on the 2 trucks and knew I had no choice. I was 100% taken advantage of! Monday Oct 2nd I spoke with an inside sales Rep named Exzabrial who “partially resolved” this matter. He acknowledged the many errors that transpired on Monday September 25th as photos of the garbage were sent to him. His resolution was to refund back $200 to my card which happened on Oct 11th. I told him, “once again you guys have me in a corner” and that I will be filing a dispute for the remaining $211 which is the amount I’m disputing. Lastly, I want to mention, the reason why he could not refund the total $411 was b/c they were “a small company”. This is unacceptable and not my problem. Wednesday Oct 11th A partial refund of $200 granted (still $211 owed back to me) In summary, I should have only been charged $189 not $600. I received a $200 refund and am disputing the remaining money owed of $211. Thanks in advance for your efforts resolving this matter.
