- Additional Info:According to an article in the August 28, 2001 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Federal Judge Mary F. Walrath said after a hearing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware, that bondholders for Epic Resorts could proceed with their involuntary-bankruptcy petition against the company. Dallas-based bondholder, Highland Capital Management, the majority bondholder, filed the petition after Epic Resorts defaulted on an $8.4 million interest payment due June 15. A trial date has not been set. On July 19, 2001, Epic Resorts filed for Chapter 7 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware. The case number is 012459.
