    Moxie is a subscription pest control service. I called them Monday June 30th in order to cancel the subscription. I was informed that only a manager can cancel subscription services and was told that a managers were very busy but a message would be left to the manager to contact me for same day cancellation. Five days later and I have not heard a response from them. It is bad business practice to make cancelling a service difficult for clients. In the meantime, I am being billed for services that I do not want any longer. I need someone from their office to contact me to close out the account.

    Moxie is a pesticide company in the ************. Currently we belong to one of their active customers. However, their recent attitude and behavior pushing us away from Moxie.1. On 12/02/2024 a few young salesmen knocked our door. They were termite terminators. They took our consent to find termites around our home. They could not find any termite adjacent to our house, but (according to their statements) these termites are eating our mulch and eventually will come to our home. We agreed to a package which will cost $1962.00 and $500.00 for renewal. He also mentioned that they have a financing program available. We can pay it in six months or twelve months. I tried to read through the agreement. The salesman was anxious for my signature. Anyway, I signed the agreement. Everything was normal up to this point. 2. Within a few minutes, I received a copy of the signed agreement I in my email. I went through the agreement and reacted negatively. Next morning I called Moxie and told them that I am NOT going for this agreement. 3. Immediately I received an email from *********** that Moxie tried to get $1962 from my cancelled **********. I instructed CapitalOne not to pay Moxie. 4. Called back Moxie and wanted an explanation for their behavior. 5. Since then, Moxie brought two other companies in the picture: 1. ********, (the parent company); 2. Citizens Pay to make things complicated and extract money from me.

    The attacheild pdf file will estabslish the time  when I received a copy of the singed agreement and the time I received the email from **********. It showed that Moxie tried to get the money from one of my cancelled credit cards.

    Moxie solicited my business promised removal of spiders and wasps nests. Two (2) different technicians came neither wanted to do the job. Claimed they could not reach the nests no service was provided. I called to speak with the manager, they stated they could send someone back if I provide the ladder. I don't have a ladder and the pest control company who is solicited my business and took my money should have a ladder to service their jobs. I cancelled on the spot and now I am being harassed for additional payment from contract when service was never provided.

    Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We take customer feedback seriously and aim to address concerns promptly and fairly.


    Regarding this complaint, we would like to clarify the following:


    Service Attempt and Equipment: Our technicians made multiple attempts to address the wasp and spider nests at the customers property. Unfortunately, the specific wasp nest required a ladder taller than what we are equipped with for safe and effective service. We acknowledge the customer's frustration and regret that we were unable to meet their expectations in this instance.


    Early Cancellation Fee: When the customer chose to cancel their service, an early cancellation fee of $140 was applied, as outlined in the agreement they signed. However, in good faith and to resolve this matter amicably, we have reversed both the early cancellation fee of $140 and the service fee of $139, ensuring the customer is not charged for services not fully rendered.


    Customer Outreach: We made several attempts to contact the customer to resolve the issue and discuss any further accommodations. Unfortunately, we were unable to establish communication.


    We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and assure the customer that we have made every effort to address their concerns fairly. If there is anything else we can do to resolve this matter or improve their experience, we are more than willing to discuss further.
