I just wanted to share a review I just left on TrustPilot for my incredible insurance agent ***** La Mar.??????????The Gold Standard for Expats GeoBlue Delivers When It Matters Most As a U.S. expat living in ****** full-time, finding international health insurance that offers real peace of mind was non-negotiable for me. After extensive research, I chose GeoBlue through ***** La Mar at Expat Insurance and that decision turned out to be one of the most important (and best) choices Ive made since moving abroad.Recently, I experienced a serious cardiac emergency that required immediate surgery at a private hospital in ******. Within hours, GeoBlue issued a direct payment guarantee before I was even released from the hospital. The entire process was seamless, professional, and most importantly, fast. I didnt pay a dime out of pocket for the procedure, which wouldve cost tens of thousands of dollars ************* of GeoBlues greatest strengths is the unrestricted access to doctors and hospitals internationally. Outside the ***** there are no network limitations *** had full freedom to choose any provider I trust in ****** and throughout the world. This flexibility is a huge advantage for global travelers or full-time expats.Another standout: claims submission is simple and digital, and my reimbursements have been processed in under 10 business days on average fast, fair, and fully transparent. For anyone worried about the what ifs unexpected emergencies, billing nightmares, provider restrictions, or getting stuck abroad without care I can confidently say: GeoBlue answers the call.If you're an expat evaluating your options, dont ****** with your health. GeoBlue is the real deal, and ***** La Mar is the agent you want in your corner. A grateful and relieved U.S. expat in ******

Zero stars if I could. They are collecting the $500 deductible TWICE for my Mothers policy when we traveled overseas in December. Their company is incompetent in the claims process and providing answers even with all documentation!! They refuse to follow chronological dates of service to apply the deductible properly. Ive called ***** times and get asked the same questions each time and the same response every time our team is reviewing the claims which is a complete lie. Between myself and the providers submitting the proper documentation multiple times, GEOBLUE still refuses to apply the deductible correctly. It is not rocket scientist! I am beyond frustrated and cannot get anywhere with ANYONE AT GEOBLUE. Do not recommend!

I badly injured my knee in ****** in mid-January. An ambulance took me to a nearby GeoBlue-approved hospital and, after an X-ray, emergency surgery was performed for a tibial plateau fracture. Several holds were placed on my credit card pending receiving payment guarantees from GeoBlue. Prior to surgery, I was informed by admin that GeoBlue had provided the guarantees that they would pay 100% of hospital and physician charges pursuant to my Trekker policy. The credit card holds were removed. After four nights in hospital, I was transported by ambulance to the airport and back home to **. In April 2024, nearly 3 months after my injury, I received an email from the hospital indicating that GeoBlue had not made ANY payment on my outstanding bills (which I'd never been given despite requesting) and that therefore they were charging more than $26,000USD on my credit card. GeoBlue even refused to pay the $750US charge for the ambulance company that transported me to the hospital. Additionally, I've been assessed a nearly $800USD "foreign transaction fee" by my card issuer. I immediately contacted GeoBlue and as of today, May 7, have spoken to or emailed GeoBlue at least a dozen times but never given any concrete information about my claims. Again and again, I was told they were still waiting for a response from the provider. I requested the matter be submitted to arbitration (which GeoBlue forces in a dispute) and they have ignored my multiple requests. I strongly believe that GeoBlue has not acted in good faith. According to my LA doctor, the stress, depression and anxiety GeoBlue has caused me has certainly impacted the healing of my leg. I am still unable to walk without pain after months of wheelchair, ****** and physical therapy. GeoBlue is licensed by ********** Blue Sheild. GeoBlue promotes their policies using their logos. Comments of others on the internet indicate that many GeoBlue policy holders have had similar nightmare experiences. Please help!

They tell me that they paid my claim to a hospital in ******,*******.They go as far as providing the date that they paid the claim and the ** number of the payment. The hospital in ****** claims that they have never received a payment of this claim.I hace called them numerous times and talked with various representatives and i have asked to please provide me a RECEIPT or some type of PAER WORK that shows the payment,TO NO AVAIL THEY DON'T EVEN WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT,they are very happy to provide me with the payment date and id of the payment, that is as far sa they go.I contacted the hospital in ****** with their email and they didn't get far either, made a conference call (3 ways)with a customer service agent from ********************** travel Insurance, and agent from the Hospital and myself.the moment i disclose to the GEOBLUE travel insurance that was a conference call and that please i was autorizing to give them the the iformation on the payment and some type of document,THEY HANG UP THE PHONE.Now the claim was tranferred to a collection agency here in the US.I think these people are running a scam or a fraud os some type, since they are not acredited with the better business bureau,i am also following with a letter to my attorney general

Geoblue refused to reimburse my deposit made to a hospital in Bad Soden Germany when I was in the ER for a heart problem.
After two months of phone calls and emails, they said “our claims department cannot reimburse a deposit/down payment” which is a violation of their own Certificate of Coverage. No wonder they are not BBB accredited. Avoid this company!
