    Daves said I needed a part and had me sign for it. I do not need any parts their employees diagnosed it wrong. There was a little frost in bottom freezer when they left I used my finger to wipe it off. Has not returned They were here to just do a yearly check which they did not do I have called Dave multiple times and he will not refund $$. This happened on8/28 It was his employees error.

    We had a leak from the freezer compartment of our fridge. The repair person jumped to the conclusion that it needed a new ice maker; without consideration of the other components such as the controller of the water supply. When that new ice maker didn’t make ice she next guess that it might be the sensor that is activated to call for ice. That part was not on her truck so it needed to ordered. By the time I was called and told that the part arrived I had done enough reading to know that she really didn’t understand the problem and she’d just keep replacing parts till something worked - at my expense. I told the office that I didn’t want the $180 part that they ordered. The office said too bad they had already charged me $180 for it. That was on top of the $450+ that they had already billed me for the ice maker. I called **** **** to dispute the charges (several times) but I got no satisfaction. It’s pointless to continue to try to dispute with ****. Maybe you can help. PS We bought a new refrigerator. Thanks ******

    Attached is the ticket from the first visit where Daves Appliance was out and provided and estimate for work.

    Right on the paperwork it states that ****** may need an additional part.   

    ****** called back to have the additional part ordered in.  On all of our paperwork it states all parts ordered are non-refundable.

    Unfortunately at this point Dave's is not in a position to provide a refund as work was performed and the job was approved.

    The face that ****** went ahead and purchased a new refrigerator knowing we had the part to complete the ice maker repair is on him, a new refrigerator was not needed as it was just the ice maker

    Dave's Appliance informed ****** that he may need an additional part as it states on his paperwork.
    ****** called our office as per the conversation with the technician to go ahead and order the additional part needed.
    Dave's Appliance ordered in the part per ******'s request.  Dave's Appliance called to informed ****** that the part was in and that we wanted to schedule an appointment to install the part.
    ****** refused to schedule for the part install.  Again No refund is due as we have the part needed to complete the repair, we cannot force ****** to have the part installed.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Their tech was incapable of listening to and therefore incapable of making the repair. The tech would continue to guess  what the problem was at my expense. So, I the end, I give up. This company should definitely have a negative review.

    Dave's Appliance Repair & Parts  came to our house to assess our refrigerator that stopped working on 7/19/2022- we were charged $168.54 for the assessment. The technician told us that our compressor was broke and needed to be replaced. She told us they would need to order the parts and come back a few days later. On Friday 7/22/2022 another technician came to replace the compressor. We were charged $1060.00 for the work. After the work was completed the refrigerator still was not cooling and the tech told my husband it could take  24-48 hrs to start cooling. He told my husband if it was not cooling by the following day to call the office, someone would be there from 8a-4p and someone would be able to assist us if it was not working. The refrigerator still was not working so we called back Saturday as instructed and were told no one techs were there and she could have someone come out on Monday. Monday no tech came&no one from Daves called us. We called & did not receive a call back until after 7pm and they were closed. We were told someone could come the following day. On Tuesday 7/26/2022, two other techs came out and we were told the refrigerator was broken, could not be fixed, could have been broken by the tech that put the new compressor in and we needed to buy a new one. We made several attempts to call and talk to a manger or the owner and no one will speak to us. We were told us it was out of their hands and an issue for the owner to address but we were also told the owner does not speak to customers. We have still not received any communication back from Daves regarding the issue weeks later. When we call and ask to speak to the manger we have been told she is on vacation or in a meeting. We filled a compliant with our credit card company- Daves issued a partial refund but still no calls or communication from them regarding this situation. I went back and read their online reviews and it seems this is something they do regularly.

    To whom it may concern in regards to ************* and ************* 

    On 7/19/2022 ****** and ***** **** scheduled an appointment for a same day emergency service call. The service call is $159 plus tax and that gets deducted out of any estimate if you choose to go through with the repair. The service call fee has been the same for half a decade. NO refund is due for the service call as it was deducted off the repair total. 

    The technician came out the same day for the refrigerator that was not cooling and diagnosed the refrigerator as needing the compressor replaced. They were given an estimate and decided they would like to think about it. They called back later in the day wanting to proceed with the repair. The invoice was signed off on and the bottom line reads all parts ordered are non refundable and can not be canceled for any reason.

    We installed the compressor on 7/22/2022 You must allow 24-48 hours for the appliance to regulate itself back to a norm. 

    On 7/23/2022 They called back to say that the refrigerator was still not cooling. Unfortunately with a compressor that is in a sealed system there is always a chance when replacing the old compressor that within the system there is a clog that was caused from the OEM compressor failing, unfortunately this is the case and there was no way of knowing until the new working compressor was installed. This was explained to the customer so he was refunded for the compressor and partial labor. We can not refund labor that has already been performed. No additional refund is due. Maximum refund has been given.
