      My initial review was far too long, so to keep this short, the owner was very unprofessional. My initial experience was perfectly fine. But my furniture was delayed indefinitely and the owner could provide no assurances as to a date or even if my furniture would get in. When it became clear that this didn’t work for me, he began to become very hostile and lie repeatedly about our interactions, trying to blame me. After multiple back and forths with hostile emails full of his lies, he eventually agreed to give me a refund. Then after processing the refund, he informed me he had taken out a 25% cancellation fee. While this optional fee was listed on the contract I signed, he never informed me he would be electing to take the fee until AFTER processing my refund. Highly unprofessional at every turn.

      This customer is simply not telling the truth. At no point have I ever been “hostile” towards any customer! This customer had come in several times to look at bedroom furniture. We told her on these occasions it takes time to receive merchandise ordered and the group she was choosing had very low in stock. The adjustable frame she chose was a new item and not yet in stock at the warehouse. Still the customer waited to place her order. Her order was not delayed indefinitely, as she claimed, but part of it was going to be a couple of weeks after she was moving in. She wanted a “guarantee” of a date her order would arrive but we cannot provide guarantees on what we do not control. We did offer to give her split delivery and no additional charge and/or loaner merchandise. We even offered her a discount for the manufacturer delay in sending her order.
      Our sales contract clearly states we cannot guarantee in stock and time of delivery of merchandise from a third party and it is not a valid reason to cancel orders. Every furniture retailer has these same terms and conditions. Every retailer has and uses a restocking fee similar to our policy to recoup some of the expenses in every sale. We offered her 100% store credit to choose a different group that had better stock levels. She declined all our offers to change, discount, loan, and split her delivery. We would be happy to share our email correspondence with anyone that would believe our emails could be considered hostile.
