    On 6/16/22 I signed a contract with Kevin from 1st Choice Home Improvements to have my roof and siding replaced. The roof was done in a timely manner with the expectation of replacing the wood on the gables. I notified Kevin and he said when they came to do the siding it would be fixed, which I agreed to. Months went by and we never heard from anyone. Periodically I would call to see if my siding had been delivered yet. It would usually take Kevin a couple days to get back to me. His answer was always the same, "It's not in yet or it'll be in on next week's truck," which was never the case. I anticipated some delay because of Covid but this seemed excessive. Finally, the week of October 16th, 2022, when I called Kevin said that my siding was in. He told me that they had one customer ahead of me but would be starting my project the week of October 30th, 2022. On November 2nd there still hadn't been any workers or supplies at my house so I reached out to Kevin once again. Much to my surprise he informed me that he was no longer with the company. I asked for a new contact person since the main number never gets a response. He said he wasn't sure who that was and would make some phone calls and get back to me. I finally got it out of him that the company has filed for bankruptcy. I have been in contact with the Attorney General, PA State Police, and the law firm supposedly handling the bankruptcy. I am still waiting on a resolution. I would like my deposit back along with some sort of compensation for not completing roof job completely.

    I hired First choice Home improvements for my home and garage roof. We signed a contract, and I paid half the agreed upon price up front per the company policy. Other half to be paid after completion. After the time frame passed that they said they would be out to complete the roof, I contacted the contractor, Kevin, to find out what was going on. I got no response for quite a while. After some time he replied that he was no longer with the company. I was under the impression he was part owner. At this point, I am obviously panicking. I have reached out to the main number several times, never reaching anyone. I left a voicemail, and I have sent out an email. I am a single mom of 3 who took out a loan for this. Now I am without the $6,000 i had to put down, and I am paying a loan on it. This is horrible to do to someone. If I do not get a refund, I am going to be forced to take legal action on this. It is not money I can afford to lose or should have to lose.

    We talked to this customer and assured her with lack of labor help we fell behind and we will be getting to her project as soon as possible.   With the hurricane in Florida we are seeing 80% of the roofing labor went there.   We are doing our best to get to everyone as soon as we can.  We will get this job complete.   The contract was written on 9-8-22.   Most companies are 3 to 4 months out because of the lack of labor.   We are doing all we can to get to everyone in a timely fashion.

    1st Choice entered into a contract to install siding on our home. They said that they would be here in September to do the job. It is now the middle of September 2022 and we have not heard from them. I have made many phone calls and sent many texts only to recieve one response that says the materials for our job would be on the next truck from the supplier. As of September 15 2022 I have not heard from Kevin.

    We had our house sided and gutters put on by 1st choice home improvement in June. Since then everytime it rains the water gushes out the seam (corner) of the gutter instead of flowing down to the drain pipe. We have tried to contact Kevin via texts and calling the office but no one will return our calls or answers our texts. This should be repaired before it freezes in the winter doing more damage.

    We are very sorry about the communication.   Our office mgr had to resign because of an illness her husband has.   So we are short handed Like everyone else.   It was a leak in the corner of the gutter which we took care of.   We would never not fix an issue even the tiny ones as this.   Leak is resolved in the corner gutter
