I took my mother ******** *******, 85 yrs old to Affordable Dentures in Exton Pa. on June 10, 2025, to replace her dentures. My mother gave them 2 checks for a total of $3,268.00. We had to go six times to try to get the dentures aligned and fitted correctly. The last appointment was on July *******. At that appointment my mother decided she wanted her money back and handed in her dentures. The male tech told the girl at the front desk to start the refund process. I asked the girl how long until my mother would get her refund and she stated 7-10 business days. Their website states that they will try to make it right if anyone is not fully satisfied with their dentures within the first 100 days. If still not satisfied, we could exchange the dentures for a full refund. I called the office after a few weeks with no refund and spoke to the dentist, and she said she did not start the refund process because she wanted to know if there was anything she could do to make it right. I told her there is nothing she could do and asked again to give my mother her money back. I have been constantly calling to try to find out when my mother's refund is coming. As of September 2, 2025, I found out that they still did not start the refund. At that point I called the corporate office, and they said they would contact the Exton location to start the refund. Again, I spoke to the dentist on Sept 2, 2025, and asked her when she would start the refund process. The dentist told me that she would call me the next day to let me know the refund was started. I did not hear from her, so I called the to speak to her about the refund. The girl at the front desk said I had to come in to sign a release form to start the refund. It turns out the release form I signed states that they will give a refund if we agree not to pursue any legal actions against them. The office manager said the refund would take 3 to 6 weeks. This is by far the worst business practices I have seen in my whole life.Initial Complaint

I apologize that I do not have the specific and neccessary information or supporting documentation regarding my complaint. I have made numerous requests to Affordable Dentures Corporate Office for an Itemized listing of all Charges, Payments, and work contracted as well as work they allege to have performed. They have not responded to any of my requests. The basis of my complaints are founded beginning in 2021 when I first began seeing a dentist at Affordable Dentures in Exton Pennsylvania. At that time I paid to have two lower implants inserted as well as the Abutments and lower denture . Shortly after the implants were inserted one fell out. I had not received any dentures as this was during the " healing process ". A date was given to me for a follow up appointment. Upon arrival to that appointment, I found that the doors were padlocked with a note saying the location was temporarily closed and to contact the Corporate office. Upon doing so, it was an automated answering service advising me that a team member would return my call. That call ended up with them contacting me weeks later stating the office was preparing to reopen in June and they scheduled my appointment. Upon arrival a completely different staff advised that I would have to start over with my treatment, at MY cost and suggested upper implants as well. This a Dr. **** ******* on 6/27/22 for 4 upper implants and Abutments and no charge for the Dentures authorized by a woman identifying herself as a Corporate Officer with a phone # of ###-###-####. They inserted the 4 upper implants and Dr. ****** opened my entire lower gum to " file and even" the lower jaw in PREPERATION for the lower.I was given appt. to return after " healing" only to be met by another padlock and note on door. After leaving messages for the officer and Corporate I received no contact from them but spoke to another office in Lancaster PA saying they were not accepting new patients. I did not know what to do other than keep calling. During this time I developed a severe infection on 3/9/23 in lower jaw and had to seekCustomer Answer

Since my last communication regarding not receiving my dentures and the original failure and loss of 2 lower implants. I have lost today another.
This loss today was one of the 4 upper implants and It has left a hole in my upper gum causing a loosening of the implant seated next to the hole.
This brings the total loss of 6 implants to a remainder of 3 .

I contracted with Affordable Dentures in Exton in October, 2022. Had teeth pulled and implants placed in my lower jaw and was given ill-fitting temporary dentures. I returned one week after surgery for denture adjustment. In early December, 2022, I called the store and received a message that the business was temporarily closed until January and to contact the Doylestown, PA office if there was an issue. I contacted this office and was seen twice for consultation and removal of two bone spurs. I was told that they could nothing else for me and I would have to wait for the Exton office to open back up to get my final dentures and implants completed. The end of January would mark 3 months after surgery and the timeframe that Exton originally gave me for my final dentures to be fitted. At the end of January, I contacted Exton Affordable Dentures and was informed by another message that they would not be reopening until late Spring and if there was an issue, to call "x" number. I called that number and was told by a woman that she could only give me the number of another Affordable Denture store to help me. Additionally, I would have to pay for any services that this new store did; despite the fact that I had paid the Affordable Dentures in Exton, over $12,000 for a complete set of dentures, including lower implants, AND, when Exton did reopen, I would not be issued a credit for any work done outside of the Exton store. At this point, the temporary dentures I have don't fit and I have no teeth and I'm out $12,000 for work not completed and a store that seems to have no reopening date. I am also concerned that going this long without teeth is going to cause permanent damage to my jaw. I would hope that the BBB can help me find out when this store will be reopening and if not, how do I get my money back in order to use those funds at another dentist.Initial Complaint
