6 windows installed on August 8, 2024. Total cost was $17,000.00. The very next day the top sashes were falling down on three of the windows, and one of them the bottom sash was falling down when I opened it. They have since tried to repair the balancers (which did not work). They then replaced the balancers and again this did not work. They have admitted on the phone that the windows were defective and were supposed to replace the entire defective 3 windows on 11/12/24. They called a few days before and said only two windows would be shipped, the third window did not pass inspection. I replaced these windows for the sole purpose of selling my house, as I have had a stroke and hard for me to walk up stairs. This is holding up my ability to put my house up for sale. Spoke to representative this morning and they still cannot give me an estimated date as to when they can install. My gas bills in the winter months are over $400/month and I am concerned about having these installed on a very cold day. I really feel that they are giving me the run-around.

    Business Response

We have done a lot of services to try and remedy the homeowner's concerns.  Unfortunately these did not remedy the concern, at this point we have made the decision to do a full replacement of 3 of the windows.  These are currently ordered and scheduled with the customer for Jan 17, 2025.  The homeowner is aware of this plan.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I purchased these windows I believe in May.  The original installation date was delayed, as well as several of the repair visits.  Two times I have had to move furniture, take down blinds and curtains as well as hang them back up.  I have had a stroke as well as osteoarthritis.  I did not anticipate any of this added aggravation and multiple phone calls to the company.  I am trying to sell my home which I can no longer maintain.  This issue is holding up the sale of my home.  I was promised that they would send ******** employees to replace the windows and now I have to wait till Jan 2025 (which will be winter). I purchased in summer so that I would not have to deal with the cold.

I strongly feel that this is abuse, negligence and taking advantage of a female senior citizen.

    Regards,

    ********** M. *******
