    David E **************************** Asphalt Maintenance sealed my driveway on 24 June, 2025. Within a few days, the material used to seal the driveway began to peel off. Now, months later the driveway is a mess, and he wont take my phone calls or address the problem. I want the job completed. The driveway should be power-washed and the driveway should be resealed before the weather turns cold. Alternatively, a refund of the amount paid, ($495.00) plus $250.00 for me to hire someone to remove the remaining loose material, so that it can be resealed.

    In my original complaint, I stated that this case was against the company David E Breneman & Son Asphalt Maintenance. You replied asking me for more information on a case against a company: Jeremy Robinson; complaint: #********.  I DO NOT know anyone or any company with the name Robinson, Please see my original complaint request against David E Breneman & Son Asphalt Maintenance.

    Additionally, I do not know if the complaint number, above, is correct or not. I am having trouble logging into my account, and my cell phone will not allow me to select an extension number when calling you.

    The attached is the only paperwork we exchanged other than the check for the invoiced amount of $495.00. 

    I have never in my life of 68 years have heard of driveway sealer peeling off, and I have sealed a lot of drives myself. 

    I will get a copy of the check and send it along. His name, address, phone, & email are on the invoice and he was paid on the date of service. 

    the weather is a lot cooler at night now than when I submitted my complaint. Its too late to reseal it now. That will have to wait till spring. I want a refund and some compensation for having it power washed as per my complaint.

    I have sent this letter to ************ also I included his check for $495. I choose not to send the extra $250 dollars. When he contacted me first, I went to look at the property. I had my *** for the company I purchase my material come out and look at the driveway also. It was not a material issue; I had no other issues on any other jobs I have done this year. I buy my material in bulk so if it was a material issue it would have happened to other properties. One of the multiple times I spoke to Mr. ********** he had mentioned that he had this issue with a concrete epoxy that would not adhere to the concrete. This led me to believe this was not an application issue either. I must be something on his property i.e. tree coverage, or something previously used on the surface of the driveway. Although he stated that I had would not take his phone calls that is just not true. I have spoken to him many times and was working to find a correct solution to this problem. I have a small business with no employees so my response time on every issue is not immediate, but I do respond. Thanks for your help in this matter.

    The response from the business is disappointing at best. I have been trying to get him to resolve this issue since June. He has successfully pushed this off until now, when the weather is too cold to seal the driveway before the winter weather sets in. I will need to now wait until next spring, when I will need to pay someone to remove the remainder of the defective material he applied, before it can be seal once again.

    That said, I am definitely disappointed but, I am, however, going to accept this proposal so I can move on. I certainly would not use his company ever again. 

    I do thank the BBB for your help in this matter rather than legal action.
