A representative from Boswell Bros paving, came up to my house uninvited, and said they were doing work in the area and they could bring some Asphalt to the house and do some of the driveway. I asked how much it would cost and he said 3 dollars a foot and he'd do about 100 feet and it would be somewhere around 2700 to 3000 but he'd bill by the foot and we can measure afterwards. I said I could do around $3000 which was all verbal over the phone, my son gave him my number. I did not call him for the service he just showed up. He sent up another guy with a contract while they were already started. I asked him why the price wasn't 3,000 dollars. he said it was 3 dollars a foot and would be whatever I discussed with the original person. and the price would vary depending were they stopped. I was thinking ok he said between 2700 to 3000 after he was done we/he measured and gave me a bill for 11,700 nowhere near the 3000 we talked about. I told him I only had the 3000 that we originally talked about which I paid him, he then wrote up another contract for me to pay the rest within a month. he should have stopped when he reached the 3000 dollar limit.
