On 10/31/24 I signed a contract with Burns Contracting to remove and replace the siding on our first floor and eight windows, and remove, clean, paint, and reinstall front porch awning. We initially paid $10,460; on 11/1, *** Burns came back for an additional $4,900 due to an error in the window pricing. Old siding was removed in late December even though the Borough's permits were dated 12/31/24, which I had to request copies of since *** did not get them to us to display. *** asked for another $4,500 on 1/27/25, which was half of the balance due upon completion, but we gave him the money since he said they would be starting the project shortly. New siding put up starting 2/25/25 and almost completely done by the next week, with the exception of around three of the windows to be removed and replaced. As of today, 6/13/25, no further work has been done, even though dozens of texts, emails, and calls have been received promising the work will be completed. And along with that, the existing awning, when removed, was taken away in too many pieces that we don't believe it can be cleaned, painted, and reinstalled, so they will have to replace that. The remaining debris and siding has been left in our backyard for months, with nothing being done with it. We also have no proof that the windows have even been purchased, despite requests for tangible proof that they are in Burns Contracting's possession. This has taken too much time, caused too much upset, and has created other issues within the house, and we would like this project to be completed and Burns' possessions to be removed from our property.

*** Burns came to our home on 6/23/25 and told me that he would have a crew at the house that week, and he would come back each day and give me an update.  We did not receive a call, nor did he show up again that week.  The following week, of 6/30, he spoke with my brother and told him the project would be done that week.  Again, we've heard nothing, nor did anyone show up.  At this point, we are preparing to file a suit with the District Justice, so that we can get another firm to come in and complete the job and clean up all of the debris left by the workers that did come months ago.
