    Last spring we contracted with TSI Home Improvements to replace the siding and windows on our house, and build a deck by the end of the summer. On May 4th, we paid a deposit of $35,000 towards the project. Unfortunately, the owner *** offered a series of excuses for delays, and no work was begun over the summer. Despite reassurances that the work would be happening soon, materials were not even ordered. Five months later, on October 5th, we advised *** of our choice to cancel the contract. He did not object and understood that was well within our rights. That same day, he emailed to assure us that the $35,000 would be returned to us "asap." Since that time, we have reached out to *** about the refund repeatedly. Once or twice he has replied with excuses for the delay and assurances that the check would be coming soon, but more recently he stopped answering. We let him know he would be pursuing a complaint with the BBB and legal action. He replied with an apology for his lack of communication and assurances once again that intends to return our money. However, he has offered no timeline and no payments. For seven months, *** has been treating this as an interest-free loan, which of course was never our agreement. We expect the prompt return of our full $35,000.

    Hi ****,
    We will be refunding the deposit amount in regards to this complaint.  We had applied for a LOC to help cover some additional costs we had come across, it was not our intention to delay this as long as it turned out to be.  I have every intention of settling this ASAP.  We expect this loan to be funded this week finally and I can resolve the complaint.  It has been a slow process, it is approved, simply waiting on funding date.  I never intended to have it get this far.  Let me know of anything else needed from me.
