My check for the up-front 50% deposit for scheduling the job was cashed on June 27, 2023. Despite numerous calls and texts over the next month to the office, to owner Bob, and to his office worker Tricia, and numerous emails to the business, I was never given a date that they could schedule the work. On July 28, I emailed the business to say I no longer wanted them to do the work that was never scheduled, and to return my $900 down payment. This resulted in several more unreturned calls, emails, and texts asking for my money back. I did speak to Bob around August 7, and he said he would return the money within 10 days. I had sent another dozen or so unreturned calls, emails, and texts over the following three weeks. I finally spoke to Bob again on August 31, and he said the money would be sent back to me the next day. My wife called the next morning (Sep. 1) to confirm it was being sent, and Bob answered and berated her for calling to confirm, saying "Are you ****ing kidding me? **** you!". He went on that he has 30 days to return the money (it had already been 34 days since I cancelled the job and asked for it to be returned), and he was now going to take the full 30 days before doing so. Bob then hung up on my wife and called back two more times, apparently confused about what number and whom he was calling. I then got a call from Christine in the office on Sep. 5 to say that Bob said they would send me $450 that Friday (Sep. 8) and the other $450 the following Friday (Sep. 15). I relayed to her what happened on Friday, Sep. 1, and she didn't seem shocked, saying that's how he treats everyone. I told her that wasn't true since he never talked to me that way in the several times we've spoken, but instead the very first time he spoke to my wife. She just sort of listened, not denying what I said.
