I am bringing this complaint to the BBB as I have exhausted all my options for Patete to stand behind their warranty offering. Patete offers a warranty with every project that states that they will fix anything that goes wrong with your purchase, regardless of how many years after purchase, as long as you are still the resident at the location where the project was completed. My project was completed in February 2017 and I began noticing issues in 2022 when a cabinet door would not close correctly and some of the floor boards were becoming separated from one another. Upon calling the business and stating that the items listed above needed to be fixed, they sent out an employee a few weeks later. The employee discovered that the cabinet door was actually bent and would need to be replaced as it could not be fixed. He also noted that the flooring job would be more demanding time-wise than he was allotted that day, and that he would come back when the office could schedule time to complete the job. Upon the office hearing the extent of the issues, they requested all of the proposal and selection sheets that I had on me as they had lost all of the applicable paperwork in a fire. After not hearing back from many months, I started to communicate with them exclusively through e-mail to have a documented trail of our conversation. Eventually, in June 2022, they wanted to know exactly which cabinet needed replaced and also notified me that they would not be repairing the floor due to a “load issue.” This “load issue” was quite perplexing to me as most of the damage was around the washer and dryer unit that was there before, during, and after installation. In July 2022, Patete came back and said they would not replace the cabinet door either as the color would never match the rest of the cabinets in the kitchen. In the end, I have spent a lot of money on a kitchen from Patete that is falling apart less than 5 years later and they refuse to stand behind their warranty.
