      Subject: Formal Complaint Against Robs Automotive Fraudulent Charge Dear BBB,I am filing a formal complaint against Robs Automotive, located at ***********************************, for attempting to fraudulently charge us $625 for a towing service that was never provided.On July 26, 2025, we contacted Robs Automotive to tow our camper, which we had brought to a *********** in *************Later that same day, they called us back and told us they would not tow the camper after all. Despite never providing any towing service, they still charged us $625 on July 28, 2025 without any prior notice, consent, or ************** of now, this payment is still pending, but we are very concerned they will finalize it even though no service was performed. They also refused to provide any invoice or receipt for this charge. When we called to resolve this, the lady we spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive, and she even told us to go ahead and call BBB instead of trying to fix the problem.I should not have to deal with this kind of nonsense, which I never agreed to or signed up for. This is clearly dishonest and misleading conduct that takes advantage of customers.I am requesting that ******************** investigate this companys business practices and help us stop this fraudulent charge before it goes through. We also hope other customers can be warned about how this company operates.We have payment records and call logs to support our claim and will gladly provide them.Thank you for your help in resolving this matter and protecting other consumers.Sincerely,****** E ***** 5400 13 Mile Ln. ********************** ********** *******************

      We take all customer concerns very seriously and appreciate the opportunity to respond.
      All our phone calls are recorded for customer ********************** and quality purposes. Our management has reviewed all calls and conversations between our representative and Mr. ***** and found no wrongdoing. I will forward to you as well.

      Mr. ***** contacted our company requesting towing services for a 36 ft pull behind camper.During the initial call, our representative gathered all the necessary information and provided a detailed quote which also included the hourly ******* was explained clearly the milage would be calculated port-to-port, which includes the time and distance required for our driver to travel from our facility to the pickup location, the loading and unloading of the vehicle and the return trip to our facility. This was communicated more than once during the conversation, clearly stating, you are paying for our time to get out there and back to ******* to ensure there was no misunderstanding. Upon arrival, it was discovered the tires were not in good condition at all. They were in fact dry rotted as the camper had been sitting for over ten years and now presented potential safety risks. Our professional recommendation was for Mr. ***** to install new tires and have the wheel bearings properly serviced before attempting to tow and call us back to rescheduled once complete. This advice was given to protect both the customers property and the safety of the public on the roadway.

      Our representative acted professionally, courteously and in line with company policy throughout the entire interaction, which was multiple phone calls. We regret that the customer perceived the communication otherwise. However, at no point was any information withheld or misrepresented, and no fraudulent charges were applied. The charges in question reflect the exact services explained in advance and agreed upon by the customer.

      Our company prides itself on honesty, transparency and integrity. We do not, under any circumstances,take advantage of our customers, and we remain confident that this transaction was handled both professionally and ethically.
