      In March 2021 I was nearing the end of a lease on a 2019 Subaru Outback through Faulkner Subaru. Faulkner advised that they would allow me to early terminate my lease and roll into a new 2021 Subaru Forester lease. After being in possession of my new lease for a few days, the dealer called back and advised that they had sold me the wrong car. I had to return to Faulkner where they provided me with the correct Forester with the correct VIN. About a month later, I was contacted by Subaru Chase Bank advising I had missed a payment on my 2019 Subaru Outback. I contacted Faulkner Subaru and was advised that the phone call I had received was a scam as Faulkner had fully paid off the lease. At Faulkner's direction, I did not make a payment on the 2019 Outback. Again, Subaru Chase Bank contacted me that I was behind on payments. I again contacted Faulkner who advised that a payment was not needed as they had fully paid off the 2019 Outback. After listening to Faulkner, I observed that Chase Bank had marked my account as past due, which was reported to the credit bureau's lowering my credit score, all while I was in the process of purchasing a home and needing pristine credit for my mortgage application. My credit was now no longer competitive to secure the best rates. My fiancé and I spoke with the finance director, Frank B*******, at Faulkner Subaru, who assured us that they had paid off the 2019 Outback and that their title company was the "best in the business". Mr. B******* assured us that Faulkner did everything appropriately and that they had no idea why Chase Bank alleged that we owed money on the 2019 Outback. I had to escalate a claim with Chase Bank disputing that I was not responsible for the late payments. Mr. B******* and Faulkner Subaru stopped answering my phone calls for help and refused to respond to numerous voicemails. After several months of this case being investigated by Chase Bank, Chase confirmed that Faulkner Subaru had not in fact fully paid off my 2019 Outback. Faulkner was short $771.92, despite assuring me numerous times the vehicle was paid off. Chase Bank advised that Faulkner has since paid off the full amount and that the account has finally been closed by Chase Bank. Faulkner has been inept from the beginning of this process. They initially sold me the wrong car. They assured me the late payment was a scam. It was not. Faulkner assured me they paid off the vehicle and no action was required. They did not and listening to Faulkner directly caused my credit score to plummet and affect my home purchase. What is more upsetting is that Faulkner and Finance Director Frank B******* refused the common decency of answering the phone when I called or responding to my voicemails. This entire process has caused significant mental anguish due to Faulkner's ineptitude. I have not so much as received an apology from Faulkner Subaru who directly caused this headache.
