I am writing to formally file a complaint against Asylum Dance Studio -now doing business under the name Kreative Dance Complex(located at ************************************************** regarding an unresolved issue involving payments I made for competition fees, classes, camp, and *********** daughter has been a dancer with Asylum Dance Project (now doing business under Kreative Dance Complex) for 8 years. I was paying for classes and competition fees on a monthly basis through an automatic deduction from my credit card.Last year the owner, ******* *********, ran into some financial issues, unbeknownst to the parents/students of the studio. Mr. ********* was using our payments for competition fees, etc to pay for other things. Due to his financial misappropriation, we were not able to compete in 2 competitions including our National competition because he did not pay the fees. I also paid (in April 2024) for my daughter for my daughter to attend a Theater camp over the summer 2024 and 3 weeks of intensive classes (for her Competition Team), The camp was canceled and she did not attend incentives because we chose to leave the studio in May after all that happened. We requested a refund for all of this in May. In the end of May 2024, the owner, ******* *********, informed me verbally that he would reimburse me, along with other affected parents. I had to request multiple times for Mr. ********* to send me a written statement with a final amount of what was owed. On June 25th I received my final statement which showed he owes me a total$1045 for . The statement says that refunds will be issued after September 25. I have reached out 4 times since September 25 (calls, texts and emails to Mr. ********** and he has not responded to **** did not request help from my credit card because I thought that My. ********* would keep his word. His deceit has hurt many families.

My daughter was on a competitive dance team from Aug 2023-May 2024. Funds were collected for the May competition and media fee, and the competition was canceled by the owner Mr **** (of Asylum dance project) 2 days before my daughter was scheduled to dance. Ive emailed at least 6 times asking to be refunded in the last 3+ months and have not received the refund.

This company has taken fees from multiple families for camps and competition dance trips and failed to follow through with offering the camp or the competition. Business stated that they "didn't have the money" to pay entrance fees or secure instructors or venues for camps. They took the money up front and have made no efforts to reimburse the families or provide them with opportunities in kind.
