- Pending Government Action:Government Action: BBB reports on known government actions involving business’ marketplace conduct:ATTORNEY GENERAL REACHES SETTLEMENT WITH WARREN COUNTY LANDLORD
On May 24, 2024, Miller Properties Groups entered into a Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office. The Assurance settles allegations that Miller Properties Groups and its owner Jason Miller unlawfully disconnected water to occupied properties without first obtaining a court order of possession, as required by the Pennsylvania Landlord
Tenant Act applicable rules of civil procedure. The agreement also alleges that Miller Properties Group also violated the Pennsylvania Fair Credit Extension Uniformity Act, which governs debt collection practices in Pennsylvania.Under the terms of the settlement, Miller Properties Group and its owner agreed to comply with all applicable laws and pay a civil penalty of $500.
