    I dropped off my vehicle at Midas on June 2 at 4 AM, ahead of my 8 AM appt. They ran an OBD-II scan & found U codes appearing only after the new engine was installed; these codes never occurred with the original engine. No repairs were made then. On June 7, Midas told me to pick up the vehicle, refusing to proceed with repairs. Only after I threatened legal action did they agree to disassemble the engine. By June 9, 5 days after drop-off, they had just contacted the warranty company/engine supplier, which I find unacceptable.When I visited Fri night/Sat morning, the engine was untouched & dashcams unplugged; I reconnected them before leaving. The vehicle remained untouched all ********* despite Midas being open. My OnStar app showed the engine briefly started around 3 PM Mon but no repairs were made. By Mon evening, the door was left unlocked & dashcams unplugged again. As of June 10, the vehicle has been with them 8 days with no progress.I sent multiple emails requesting updates, all unanswered. Midas overfilled the oil during installation (I have video proof). When I asked, they dismissed it. They added break-in fluid without removing an equal amount of oil, contradicting proper procedure.Since the new engine installation, multiple issues appeared: the engine rattles for 3 seconds on cold starts, followed by tapping noises lasting about 5 minutes. Theres also a random knock sensor code never present with the original engine, along with multiple U codes. Under heavy acceleration, the vehicle fails to upshift. A transmission shop confirmed this is engine-related. Despite replacing the transmission, the problem persists; diagnostics show the engine isnt sending proper shift signals. Midas claims the issue isnt timing related, but this seems premature without disassembling the engine. Multiple experts suspect a timing problem.Due to Midass lack of communication, delays, and poor workmanship, I ask the BBB for assistance in a timely and thorough resolution.

    I asked for a blower motor replacement and the charged me for a ac recharge that could not successfully done. When asked for refund because the service did not work they refused to give me back my money. I was belittled and screamed at I just want a refund the service did not fix anything and I had to go somewhere else because they refused to do the right thing.

    Good morning,

    ************ went to our Bensalem location on 6/10 telling us that he needed us to diagnose his A/C unit because it was having issues. As requested we proceeded to perform the diagnostic. A dye was put in his vehicle to see if there were any leaks and the customer was informed to come back in a couple days to check for the leaks. From the diagnostic we informed the customer that he needed a blower motor. He was upset because he said that he was not going to pay for it. We informed the customer that he would have to pay for the blower motor to fix the issue he is having with the A/C. The customer proceeded to argue and say that we damaged his blower motor while doing the diagnostic which was far from the truth. We informed the customer step by step the process that was done to diagnose the vehicle and he still was convinced we damaged it. We will not be held responsible for informing the customer what is wrong with his vehicle. If he would like to get the problem resolved we will gladly assist him.

    I used a ******* to purchase a four wheel alignment from Midas. After getting the alignment done, I noticed that my steering wheel wasn't straight. After I called back I was told the service had no guarantee and they could try to realign it again but I would have to pay full price once again.

    Hi, the customer that issued this complaint has an altered vehicle,The tire size is incorrect and the vehicle was lowered. We did the best we could on his alignment. No other adjustments can be made.
