Pep Boys on ***********. in ********** always does a great job taking care of my car. They go out of their way to make sure my needs are taken care of. Recently I had a positive experience with an employee named Fresh. He replaced my air filter and didnt charge me installation. He also helped me put on my blind spot mirrors to help me see better. I felt like I was not just another customer but someone special. Thank you Fresh and Pep BoysKarl, ****, etc.Review from JAMES S

I've been a PEP BOYS customer for 14 years and never had a problem. Most recent service was new brakes and shocks. The job was completed in 6 hours at a reasonable price and I've driven the car for a week and everything is working well. I would recommend PEP BOYS to any one that wants a professional company to maintain your car or cars.Review from Mi P

If I could give them a negative star - I would. Today My 80 year old mom went to pep boys to purchase wiper blades ($60.00) and asked if they would put them on for her (which in the past they graciously did at no charge). Today they said they would install them for $20.00 each blade. Are you kidding me?! This would probably take one of their service people 3 minutes to install. She took her business elsewhere and will never be back. This is very disappointingReview from LouLou

Went to Pep Boys # 1558 in Hiram, GA on 03/27/2024. I went for an AC Check up and after the diagnosis they told me that the work will cost me $1,044.57 and told me that I must pay up front for the services. I was hesitant and William Frieson the supervisor told me that I must pay him up front which I did and he told me to come back the following day in order for the work to be done. By the time I got home with my car my family that works in the mechanic field told me that was too much money. So the following day I went back to the store #1558 in Hiram and told them I needed a refund and that I do not want the job done anymore on my car. They refused to give me back my money. I requested for the manager James G***** and he told me that the refund has to be authorized by the cooperate manager in Marietta and that he would give me a call the next day and instead of calling me the following day, I received a text saying that my car was ready for pick up and services are complete. My car went home with me right after the diagnosis. I went back to the store and again today 04/01/2027 and the manager told me to come back again. They just don't want to refund that money and giving me the run around for my hard earn money.Review from Jim W

I have used Pep Boys in Pleasant Hill for nearly 20 years because I received good service up until now. I don't know if it's the management or corporate changes. On Jan. 4th I called for a price on a brake job on my 2017 GMC 1500 and was told $209 per axle. I was headed out of town on a road trip in a few days so set first appointment on 01/05/24. After arriving they told me I needed rotors so it would be over $1300. They then said since I was a loyal customer they would do it for $1183; I agreed and they did the job. Then today, 3/20/24, I had Valvoline change my oil and was told the brake fluid was low and they can't top it off so I went back to Pepboys to have them take a look. They said it's not at max level but they could do a brake fluid change for me for $69.99. Then was told can't top off the fluid and they don't do brake fluid top offs or changes when they do a brake job. Worst automotive service I've ever encountered. Brake job without brake fluid. Don't take a chance. Jim W. M******* Resident 44 yearsReview from Mark A

I brought my 2015 Impala in to Pep Boys in Bartlett, TN, for 4 tires. Also opted for the road hazard and wheel alignment. Total was just over $1,000. They performed an inspection of the car while they had it and told me that one of my struts was hanging lower than the other and they needed to be replaced. Total for that was over $1,600. I said I'd hold off for now and think about it. Next day I called my regular mechanic and asked for an appointment to have my struts replaced. It would be about a week, as they were quite busy, and the cost was under $1,000! After dropping the car off, I got a call from my mechanic asking why I thought I needed struts. I explained that Pep Boys said I did. He told me his mechanic checked them out thoroughly, no leaks, no issues. No problems of any kind in the front end (tie rods, linkages, etc.)! I told him about "one hanging lower than the other" and he said he'd call right back. :10 later he calls and told me he measured personally and found no issue. I paid him $50 for his mechanic's time and thanked him profusely! For t hat peace of mind, I saved about $1,600! Bad Pep Boys!Review from Jeannie J

~DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION~ I had my vehicle towed to the Stockbridge location in September because my vehicle was running hot. While I had it in the shop, I decided to have some other things done, brake pads, sway bar replacement, and some other routine items. I spoke with the store manager Jeremy and was ADAMANT on not needing rotors during this conversation. I was given a quote and agreed to the work I had requested. When the vehicle was picked up, we got told "oh you had already agreed to the price, so we went ahead and placed rotors. I told them to put the old parts back on (rotors). I got told oh we already discarded them. Fast forward to a few days later, the vehicle had to be taken back in the shop because it started overheating again and the AC that I had paid 343.00 was not working. A few days later, we were told that they fixed the issue, and we picked up the vehicle. After picking up the vehicle the second time, we were told everything was good to go. the following week, I took the vehicle to have the transmission serviced (their recommendation) at a different shop. Got the vehicle back from the transmission place a few months later (had to wait on parts to be ordered). When I picked up the vehicle in December, I drove less than an hour and a half, and the car started running hot yet again. Contacted the GM, Jared Smith, got no response. Reached out again after Christmas, got no response until January after their faulty work which they certified was done and complete, caused my engine to blow a gasket and the oil/coolant to flood the engine. Contacted corporate and threatened small claims court. They have skirted taking blame. Jared Smith even stated that it was a possibility that his guys didnt recheck the thermostat the 2nd time it was brought in. Now, I am out 2100.00 for their crap work and 5800.00 for an engine that I had replaced in early 2023. Now, armed with all of the proof, I will be taking this to small claims. DO NOT TRUST THEM.Review from Michael C

The worse customer experience I have ever had with any company ever! First, they said they had to replace my water pump. I replied I think you have done that. The manager Alyssa said not here. I said ok replace I get my truck back, check the glove compartment and there was the receipt. Replaced the water pump twice after barely 10k miles. I asked them if there is anything they could do. They said they would check and would call me back. After the 4th time asking and them not calling back I went in and asked why they weren't calling me back and Alyssa yelled at me, walked away and told me to get out of her store. It was a nightmare even though I had spent several thousand dollars with no respect. It was unbelievable. I will tell everyone I know to never go to Pep Boys, Quaker Lane, Warwick, RI.Review from George B

They installed new tires on bent rims. This was something they knew they were doing wrong and still did it. It was very dangerous to leave my car unfixed for a month. It shook while being driven and never should have happened. They put my life in danger by letting my car leave the garage in the condition it was in. Dan is scum, needs fired and a thorough investigation needs to take place.
