1 starThe worst service ever!! They give you some information over the phone to get you in but once they know its through insurance they treat you horrible! The worst place ever the manager has no customer ********************** skills! One star because I cant give them 0!Review fromMaria H

1 starStay away from this location at all costs! I was discriminated against due to my gender &refused service simply because I am a woman. I had an **************** was my first time at a Pep Boys location. I was unsure where to go or what to do. The location does not have any type of signage indicating where to go or what specific areas are for. I found what appeared to be a line so I got in line. There were 2 employees at desks, 1 talking to a customer. I waited for several minuets. As I stood there waiting I overheard the conversation between the employee& customer ahead of me &they were just talking about Mexico &other non-work related topics. I was being made to wait just so the employee could socialize¬ work. When I finally got to inform the employee that I had an appointment he said I was in the wrong line. He claimed his line was for Hertz car rentals only. I moved to the other line& was completely ignored by the employee even though he was not busy or helping anyone. Since he was ignoring me I asked him if I can check in with him. He gave me major attitude&angrily said "excuse me?" I repeated myself &with attitude he said "just give me a second &I'll be with you." The whole time I was waiting the alleged ***** employee just kept looking over at me, which leads me to believe he lied. I continued waiting for several minutes but employee #2 just sat there looking at his phone & tapping stuff on it. He clearly didn't want to assist me&I was clearly bothering him&preventing him from not working, so I decided to leave. I told him I have an appointment but I'm just going to leave. He gave me the biggest nastiest look& with major attitude said "ok." The behavior of the employees is extremely unprofessional. They were very hostile &aggressive towards me. 1 starI had my first visit here on 7/18/25. Called before hand and told me the price of the tires and install and balance individually. My car started shaking and they said that I have issues with my control arms. I had just changed my control arms but didnt tell them that. I told them I just need the tires installed and balanced. My car started shaking at one point and I noticed my steering wheel wasnt even aligned. My steering wheel was perfect prior to going there. ( Im extremely vigilant on keeping up with maintenance). I had my car checked out by my mechanic and he said the control arms were fine and to get an alignment and that pep boys most likely messed up on my balance. I brought my car somewhere and they told me it looked like someone was VERY inexperienced with doing my balance. They added an extreme amount of insignificant weight that they had to remove that was causing the shaking. I called pep boys and spoke with the rude a** manager **** who said he cannot even refund me for the balance because its included in the tires, which it wasnt because again , I called prior to going and I asked. He was a complete d*** on the phone and said I should have just went back there to get it fixed. Go back to a place that messed up the most simple job a mechanic can do ? A balance. **** was very disrespectful on the phone saying I was lying about the mechanics telling me I have issues with my control arm because it wasnt documented. I told him its not my fault they didnt document but they definitely said it to me. Im very unhappy with this place after spending $637. He said he couldnt even provide a partial refund. I literally only asked for a refund on the balance. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE. I ****** RECOMMEND UOU NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. ITS HORRIBLE !!!!Review fromEdward C

1 starThey Missed diagnosed my issue and changed the lower ball joints ($1500 ) DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE of the wobbling in the car.Went another company found the shaking/wobbling was the bent two front axles. They also missed the very worn out tie-rod end that was also repaired. I recommend ************ ****, been there for 100 years in Encinitas or RONS ALIGNMENT *** fixed the issue 2 bent axles and tie rod end) who fixed the issue pep "boys" missed. The company did contact me via email and then ***** called. ***** was dismissive, condescending, had a disposition of blaming me for telling them what to repair. I had absolutely NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what the issue was. She was very testy and confrontational initially when I first went in to drop the ***** off. 1 starthey tried to rip me off. the manager said, I needed a new serpentine belt and my shocks need replacement, however, wouldn't say exactly what is wrong with them. the serpentine belt estimate was ****** for replacement. this didn't sit well with me. went to ********** THEY LOOKED AT THE BELT AND SAID IT HAS NO CRACKS AND DOESNT NEED TO BE REPLACED, they drove my car and said THE CAR RUNS SMOOTHLY!!they also didn't charge me, i don't make much. i need my car to get me to work and school. buyer beware this place is a snake pit.Review fromAlona T

1 starExtremely Poor Service Will *** Return Ive brought my car to this Pep Boys before and had decent service, but after this last visit, Im done. I scheduled an appointment online, only to show up and be told my car couldnt be serviced because they didnt have the parts and the master technician wasnt there. I was then told I should have called instead of booking onlinewhats the point of offering online appointments if theyre not honored?When asked about my previous quote of $390 ($174.99 and $215.80 for two parts), I was told the price would be different. I said that was fine and planned to compare the invoice with my quote once the work was done. Instead, I was met with rude and unprofessional behaviorespecially from ****, the manager, who had no problem speaking to me in a disrespectful tone, even though I remained calm throughout.I was also told personal details about the technicians absenceas if that would justify the lack of communication. Totally inappropriate.When picking up my car, I asked ***** to see the receipt before paying. I noticed a price difference for the exact same part from the week before. When I asked about it, I got a shrug and prices change, followed by even more rude and dismissive comments. What was said at that point was beyond unprofessional and something Ill be reporting to corporate directly.This location has a serious communication problem and lacks basic customer ********************** standards. 1 starI had a terrible and dangerous experience at Pep Boys in **************. I paid $1,200 for a rear brake job, expecting professional and reliable service. A few weeks later, I discovered that bolts were missing from the work they did either they were never properly tightened, or they fell out over time. This couldve led to a serious accident.When I called the shop, they basically brushed it off, saying it had been weeks ago and there was nothing they could do unless I brought the car back in. Thats unacceptable. I paid a premium price expecting the job to be done right the first time, not to travel around to multiple Pep Boys locations fixing someone elses mistake.This wasnt just an inconvenience it was a safety hazard that should never happen after a professional brake service. I wont be returning, and I strongly caution anyone considering this location. Ive couldve been hurt or someone else and I wouldnt have never known it was because.Review fromRoger E

1 starI took my car to Pepboys to get an oil change, new tires, and alignment. Everything went well, however, a couple days later my service 4WD message came on. I called them back and asked if I could bring it back so they can look at the issue. Upon looking at it it was apparent it wouldnt be done that day, so I got a rental car. A couple days later I was told it was finished. Within a mile I could feel the issue was still there. It was 8:30 at night so I didnt return instantly. I called back the next day and dropped it off again. This time I was told they knew what the issue was but my vehicle would take up a bay for an entire day and I need to take it elsewhere. So you found the issue, took my money for the first fix, then kick me out because it will take too long? Thats like going to a steakhouse and saying we have the steak but we cant cook it for you. Now things where their service gets even worse. I called customer ********************** and asked to talk to corporate. Four straight business days in a row I was told a regional director would call me. NOT A SINGLE CALL!!!! I guess you just want to take someones money and then ignore them? After taking my car to a Jeep dealer I understand why. Within 60 min they knew that any repair would be useless because the transfer case needed to be replace. 1 starI've never been so disgusted in my entire life. The entire process was a nightmare. Store manager ****** didn't tell me the forest information first off and she lied saying she was going to a parts store for a part (i came in w a flat tire, and was willing to spend more) but after 4 failed attempts of communication with me no call backs and then ****** leaves without any information no one even knows what is casually going glob... then get this, they call me ex husband and not me Also the guy at the corner **** looks like meth addict and he was one of the most ignorant and stupid person I've ever met. He threw up his hands when i asked for the invoice or estimate and shouted... "all you people just think we're ripping them off. Pathetic!" That's your employee. I will never come back and either will any family or friends I've never felt more disgusted in my life. Oh ya get this my little girl was standing right next to me and heard everything. Just disgusting! What a waste of my time. You all should be ashamed and fired that **** soon as possible and maybe get the store manager some help and trained
