      The 1916 Company is a scam. Gave me a quote to sell my watch. I sent the watch in. Once they received it, they said they fat-fingered the model number. So wanted to offer me a lower price. Run far away from The 1916 Company. Not reputable.

      Hi **** - we are sorry that you did not have a good experience selling a watch to us. We would love to talk to you about it and see if we can explain or resolve the situation - please email us at ********************************** so we can look up your specific transaction and address your situation personally.Over 90% of the time, the price we quote prior to seeing a watch in person is the price we pay for the watch. In cases where the watch is not in the condition we expect or (as it seems in this case), someone on our side makes an error, we do try to resolve it with the client before sending the watch back. We do pay for shipping and insurance both ways so the client is not out of any funds. If there was an error, we do apologize and recognize that it must have been frustrating. We look forward to speaking with you to see if we can resolve the situation.

      I purchased a watch through WatchBox via Ebay. The picture was inaccurate so I immediately returned the watch. They told me once EBay authenticated it I would receive a refund. This was over 14 business days ago that Ebay received the watch. WatchBox even told me it shouldn’t take this long to receive a refund. However, they haven’t been helpful in getting my money back. In fact They did not respond to my latest email. I told them that Ebay had not gotten back with me per the promise WatchBox made me. It’s been ridiculous that they are holding 10k of my money. This is been the worst customer experience with WatchBox.
