            The business owner is failing to notify customers of the credit card surcharge fees he is charging on customers who pay by credit card. He asks if customers are paying by credit card or by cash. If the customer answers "credit card" as I did, he charges an extra 5% but does not divulge that is he doing so nor does he itemize this charge on the credit card slip as is required. I witnessed no signage at the counter informing customers of this surcharge. Today, 9/26/21, the owner added this extra charge to my bill but never mentioned the surcharge. Although my bill seemed higher than expected, I did not know it was a surcharge until the next customer questioned his bill. I overheard the owner say that he adds 5% on to the bill for credit card transactions. Had I been made aware of this surcharge I would have used cash. I think that it is fair to request a refund of this charge since it was not properly communicated. My total bill, which included the uncommunicated surcharge, was $17.79.
