Our old Hot water heater went after over 20 years. We had a new Bradford White water heater installed 2.5 years ago. It just failed on us, it was all rusted out. It was still under warrenty so they covered a replacement but not the labor of the reinstall which was $1200 dollars. I was very disappointed with their responsiveness and their lack of standing behind their product. When I reached out to them they offered only to pay for the diagnostic fee of just over $150. It's been over a month and I have emailed them several times and still haven't even gotten that check. I would definetly not recommend them!!!!

Beware: Bradford Whites **************** is a Nightmare I purchased a Bradford White water heater in May 2022 for a four-unit building, and it failed last month. According to Bradford Whites protocol, I had my plumber contact their customer service multiple times, but there was no response. I also reached out myself twice and submitted an online request, all without any follow-up.With tenants in four units left without hot water, I had no choice but to purchase and install a replacement unit from *********** When I attempted to return the defective unit to the Bradford White retailer, they refused to honor the warranty. It seems Bradford Whites warranty service is designed to be so cumbersome that customers are forced to abandon the process and buy a new unit instead. This experience has led me to question the quality of their products and their commitment to customer support.

My Bradford White 50 gal. gas water heater was 2 years old when the problems started. It would constantly go out. I replaced the thermocoupler and vacuumed the excessive rust from the flame area and it worked well for 6 months or so until finally after less than 3 years of ownership it failed to work. Excessive rust was falling from the outside of the tank into the vented flame area starving the flame of air. Within 3 years it was completely useless. I do not recommend.

Bradford White *********************************** October 2020. Had to be replaced under warranty in May 2024. Installation cost was much more than it was in 2020. Even under warranty, it was not worth its initial cost. Ive used GE and *************** in the past and they both lasted much longer and performed better than Bradford White.

I hated to even give them one star - They have cost us a lot of money
This company has no integrity - You find out what a company is when something goes wrong and they do not stand behind their product- Their warranty is worth nothing - The computer board went on our solar water heater that is only 3 years old - we called them about the warranty - they have no list of plumbers that honor their warranty - It took 5 representative for us to find that out - they gave us a plumber but he does not honor the warranty - Another plumber they gave us was industrial only Their customer service reps are not trained very well They do not stock parts so "you have to find one yourself" Yup that is what we were told - We are going to go buy a water heater this evening as it is easier than working with reps that are not trained and was not able to help us - We dread what we will have to do to get reimbursed - Yes we have to pay and then they will reimburse us - when we talked to the rep they said oh it has to be approved - WELL it is still under warranty Do not use Bradford White they are a nightmare

I have a 75 natural gas water heater (Model #RG2PV75H6N) installed for $3000 in July 2020 and it is leaking from below the tank today. Water heater is covered under warranty but labor cost quoted from the installer to replace it is around $1000. I called Bradford and complainted about their product quality and the outrageous replacement cost, the person I spoke to couldn't have cared less. How could a $3000 unit breaks down within two and half years and consumer has to shed another $1000 to get it replaced?? If you are thinking of install a water heater, STAY
AWAY from this company and their brand, unless they modify their warranty clause to back up their products!!!

On 12/26/22 our water heater stopped working. I contacted Bradford White and got a quick response for me to contact a local plumber to have it repaired. I hired a local company and they were here the evening of 12/27 and, on their own, diagnosed we needed a new controller/motherboard.
On 12/30, the local company was required to visit us again because Bradford White could not/would not authorize ordering the part unless our tech was on the phone with them and diagnosed the problem themselves. Magically, the BW rep identified that it was, in fact, the same controller board that our local plumber had diagnosed and required replacement.
Due to the holidays, the part was "officially" ordered on 01/02/23. I was told by our local contractor we should have the part in 5-7 days.
On 01/09/23, I contacted the local company inquiring on the part. They learned that the part had not been shipped the previous week and Bradford White refused to overnight the board. We had to wait another 5-7 days. Thankfully, the rep at the local company pushed this issue as we were now into our 3rd week without hot water. She was able to convince someone to overnight the part.
On 01/12/23, the part arrived. The local plumber went to pick up the part but was refused until he 1st came to our house, removed the dead board and returned it. More wasted time and effort, thanks to BW.
Once the board installed, we discovered it wasn't working. He gave a call to tech support who walked him through the procedure to get the motherboard communicating properly with our model/serial.
I am posting this now because I have emailed BW twice on the poor customer support they provided and I was giving them the opportunity to respond, which has gone ignored. 17 days without hot water, and Bradford White has clearly demonstrated they could care less on the support hey provided. Without a doubt, the worst customer service I have experienced in 62 years.

Moved into our brand new house in October 2021. In December 2022 we are having issues with our Bradford water heater. The heater elements are going out and they need replaced. Called the lovely warranty people at Bradford and got some of the worst customer service you could get. Very rude and could care less its a couple months past warranty. Carla just hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I hope no one buys a crappy product

Stay away from their products. Even the employees dont stand by it. My Bradford White water heater malfunctioned after two years. It has a 6 year warranty and they will not help you get it repaired. I spoke to a rep today that said to me “there’s nothing else we can do” and “be patient” bc I told him someone said they will call me in two days to see if they can come take a look. No plumber in the area was willing to look at it and also shared that those water heaters are a hunk of junk. Others in the area who have Bradford white water heaters have also experienced issues. My water heater prior to this was a different manufacturer and lasted almost 25 years with no issues.
