1 star is 1 too many for keystone environmental services. If you want to pay over 4x the national average you are in the right place. No contracts were ever signed, the only dollar value agreed upon was given to me over the phone for $350 for lab analysis. i asked them to come out to determine if I had asbestos & an attack plan. I was left with a big invoice & no lab analysis was performed. I was given an estimate of $21,000 when the national average for a project my size is roughly $5,000. I received quotes from 2 other licensed companies that were in line with the national average & was doing the EXACT same plan of attack. . When i advised keystone of this I was met with statements of you get what you pay for & an invoice of $380 for their time of preparing their quote on my project. No lab analysis was performed or included. The $380 was for their time in preparing my quote. This cost was never discussed over the phone, only $350 for lab analysis which was never completed. To me, this company seems like a scam, whether or not they do any work, just for walking into your home they will bill $380. All the other companies prepared FREE QUOTES for our project. Unfortunately my family was taken for $380 & have nothing to show other than an unreasonably high quote. Dont fall for this scam, seems like a good gig on their part, prepare a high quote, do no work & still get $380 from a victim. This is Our feelings on this company based on OUR experience. We hope we can save some1 else their ************ by staying away from them. We even asked if they could work with us on the $380 since nothing was done other than a quote & i was advised we are lucky they didnt charge more for them to do what the other companies did for free. Stay away from keystone environmental at all costs.

This statement from the complainant is simply not true. We originally were requested to collect samples of vermiculite within her attic to confirm whether they were asbestos containing. We arrived onsite, collected the samples, collected photographs and upon further inspection realized that there were bags of zonalite which were an asbestos containing product at one time that has since been discontinued. There has been a trust previously setup to reimburse for the remove of zonalite products which we instructed the complainant. Therefore, the complainant requested that we not have the samples analyzed at that time. We researched the details of the steps needed to assist the complainant with the reimbursement procedures. We went back to the residence the following day to collect specific pictures that are required for the reimbursement including collecting dimension of the attic for proper removal of the material. We prepared a proposal and cost estimate for the proper removal and disposal of the zonalite material including daily air monitoring and final air clearance testing to ensure there was no inhalation exposure within her residence as well as to ensure safe reoccupancy within the attic upon completion of the abatement. This also included a final report of the activities and logs including laboratory reports for her future reference. Apparently, the complainant made contact with the trust and they told her to obtain several quotes. She did share with us that she found several very low quotes as compared to ours and we suggested that she make sure they were apples-to-apples with ours and that they included the daily air monitoring as well as final air clearance utilizing a more elaborate analysis that we use to ensure no fibers of asbestos remain in the air prior to demobilizing the containment. The complainant appeared to be irritated about our cost but as they stated, they were under no obligation to contract through us. We simply asked to be paid for the initial site visit to collect the samples along with the second trip to her residence to collect the measurements for the reimbursement. We did not charge them for our preparation of the proposal as they insinuated. We believe the complainant is just trying to get out of paying us $380.00 for our initial time and materials. Since this was a residential project, we tried to keep our costs down and didnt even charge a company truck or mileage fee during the initial 2 visits. We plan on filing a mechanics lien on her property if the invoice is not paid in a timely manner. We are a reputable environmental, health and safety consulting firm that has been in business for almost 15 years with collectively over 100 years in the consulting business. We pride ourselves on our commitment for helping our customers solve their ********************************************* and ********************** needs in a timely cost effective manner. Unfortunately, its residential clients like these that often make us wonder if we should stay out of the residential market because we sometimes get shafted by some entitled property owners who try to get something for nothing.
