A1 Towing is saying that they have my vehicle on their lot and is saying I have to pay the amount on the paperwork. I told the very rude lady on the phone that my son was actually standing right in front of the vehicle as we were on the phone. She was rude and insisted that my vehicle was there and the *** numbers matched up. She said it was towed from Riverfront Loft which it was not. It was towed from my son's house because it was no longer working. I asked to go to the lot and look at the *** # and she refused. My son called them and was told that there were two vehicles towed that day and that the driver mixed up the *** #. She was too rude to let me tell her this. If I get another bill from them saying I owe more money I will sue them.Business Response

We apologize for the inconvenience we did send a driver to verify vin #'s after it was brought to our attention by ****** the co owner of the vehicle. Once everything was corrected we called ****** back to let him know that the issue had been resolved and to disregard the letter that had been sent in error. We are not asking for any money from the complainant.Customer Answer

I came outside as my car was being towed. I told the guy that I was on the phone making the payment. He said if the company stated I made the payment he would leave the car. I sat in the car and made the call and he was very rude and after the payment was made he still took the car. I called several times to pick up my car and they stated they had to do paperwork on the car and I had to make an appointment to come in. After telling them its due to a severe DV situation, and I could not stay where they picked up the car. Again, they did not care. They put me and my kids in ***** way and will not return my car. The tow man was very nasty.Business Response

We towed **. ****** vehicle on 9/21/23 for being illegally parked on private property at the request of the property owner. Our driver took pictures before loading the vehicle which show the sunroof open, garbage laying all around the vehicle, no license plate on the vehicle, and other dings and dents to the vehicle. A gentleman first contacted us on 9/27/23 and we informed him of the tow and storage charges to remove the vehicle from our impound yard. On 9/28/2023 we mailed a letter to the last titled owner, ************************* *********************, Allentown, PA ******* On 9/29/23 a gentleman called again and was offered a title turnover agreement which is when the vehicle owner pays a small fee and signs the title over to our company in turn we keep the vehicle and they don't have to pay the balance of the bill that accrues daily storage. During one of these conversations is when ************* informed one of our dispatchers that he has no keys to the vehicle and had been locked up for a while prior to the vehicle being towed. This means that his sunroof had been open for awhile before and exposed to all of the elements. He then came to our office on 10/14/23 to get belongings out of his vehicle which is when he complained about the sunroof. He came back again on 10/16/23 which is when we told him we would not be accepting liability for damages that were caused before we towed his vehicle. On 10/17/23 he paid his impound fees and well as paid for us to tow his vehicle to the address he requested. Attached are pictures of the vehicle in the parking lot before our driver ever loaded onto his truck. We will not be paying for any repairs to his vehicle and again would advise that he contacts his insurance company, files a police report, or file with small claims court.Customer Answer

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: sure A1 towing took pictures of the vehicle allegedly before the removal of it from the property although the sun roof is clearly open and while at their property they didn't secure my vehicle by covering the sunroof knowing A1 towing is removing a vehicle from a property at the owner of the property discretion and while moving it to their property with the sunroof still being open the company still didn't cover the sun roof while being at their facility also the pictures submitted by the company 4 in total show's not one picture of the interior of the vehicle and it rained while being stored at their facility and the vehicle was not locked when i went to retrieve my belongings and any person going to retrieve another vehicle had access to any vehicle on A1 property that was not locked when A1 towed my vehicle from ****** ****** in Allentown pa the tow truck driver had to notice the emergencies brake was active and the tow truck driver dragged my vehicle with out using dollies knowing that that back wheels was not moving so they dragged my vehicle and when i had my vehicle towed from their facility after paying the storage fee and tow fee to my residence the delivery driver still did not use dollies he dragged my vehicle as well and that damaged the rear drive shaft among the other things and to be straight up forward once the vehicle was towed from the private property and the property owner stated he did not have the key dollies should have been used and the vehicles sun roof should have been covered while being stored at their facility and assured the vehicle was fully locked all doors once the vehicle interred their facility the company mentioning my incarceration' has nothing to do with the standard operating procedures of the A1 towing company and their drivers once coming upon a vehicle being towed off private property by the alleged owner of the property and knowing no key was available upon moving the vehicle and the parking brake was on because the vehicle was on a hill and the doors are unlocked once it the vehicle entered their facility it should have been secured because it rained while the vehicle was housed at A1 towing and that is real unprofessional and shall i mention i tried to resolve the issues with the property manager and she stated call the police or report it to your insurance company i did call the police and the officer said that A1 has multiple complaints and its a civil issue so as a consumer i contacted the better business bureau if the Company is as professional in securing all vehicles once i approached my vehicle it would have been locked all doors and the sun roof secured and when i enterer the property i and another employee would not have secure the sun roof from prior rain and it was raining the day we secure it then at that time the company could have said we locked your doors and secure your sun roof then with a shadow of doubt i would have nothing to say and my vehicle would not have had a foot of water on the floor of it and any body can see that while at their shop for the time they housed it it was raining hard thank you for your time and patience in *********************** holy name thank you
