We have waited 2 months today for a refund. When we have the check for $2372 and it has cleared the bank, we will then be satisfied to settle our case. After he cancelled he refused to refund my deposit. I told him I felt we should only have to pay for the $210 permit he pulled. That leaves me a refund owed of $2,512. We haven't heard from him in over 5 weeks.

This story is not totally correct. In the fall, I made extra time to again go to the site. I did request final grading to place the generator. That did not happen, and new seeding of the lawn was done. I did not want to jeopardize his new lawn. after a unsettled winter, i pushed off to spring with the concerns of ruining his new lawn. In spring i made one cancellation due to weather. The second cancellation was done by the homeowner, three days prior based on forecast. I did request he not due that due to relatability of weather forecast. He insisted and I had to allow more time to schedule work for the installation crew. By the way it gave .06 inches of rain that day. At this point I asked the homeowner to not do any more cancellations and Automated Home Generators would do any future cancellations. we rescheduled and it was again cancelled by the homeowner on hour before the start of the job, who told us not to step on the property. It did rain .5 inches the night before. I stated we lay covering down in the home to prevent any spread of dirt, but he was eminent about cancelling. This again cause a major hardship as now the install crew scheduled had no work for the day and caused hardship for me to pay them as they were prepared to leave for the job. after further thought, i informed the homeowner that I am now refusing the job due to the difficulty of the scheduling, which i started this project with him two years prior. I was honoring the pricing for him with no increases of material cost that I incurred. I also said I will return his deposit minus $350.00 for processing fees and permit costs and he can search for another company to perform his installation. He rebuked and threatened legal action on me. I am willing to refund his complete deposit minus the $350.00, which he was notified of. I can be reached at **************************** for any other responses.

    Respectfully submitted.

On 12/14/2021, signed contract, paid deposit of$2,460.00, for Home Generator to be installed by July 2022. On 8/19,8/23,8/24/2022, called to see when product would be installed, finally spoke to Donald S******, owner of Automated Home Generators, he stated he did not get the permit to install and could not answer to when he might receive the permit, his tone in the conversation made me feel like I was going to lose my deposit. I asked for the deposit back and he stated he wanted $150.00 for work he did not do. He sent a check for the deposit amount minus $150.00. I will not cash this check until i hear from someone from the BBB, I feel this is a very poor business practice. Waiting for 8 months not hearing from him, he should pay me interest on the deposit he received from me.

To whom this concerns. I had a conversation with **. *************;about his concerns. I explained to him that after a lengthy delay in shipment of his generator that was beyond my control, that I had the unit in inventory. I also explained that I have been trying for weeks to get the proper information to apply for a building permit to install his generator with no response from his municipality after leaving several voicemails. I gave him an option that he may now attempt to secure a building permit for this installation or send me a signed paper releasing my company of any liability in securing the permit. He was not satisficed with that and demanded a refund of his deposit. I told him it was after the three business days as stated in his signed contract, but that i would refund his deposit minus $150.00 dollars. He did agree to this and I refunded him within three business days of his deposit as agreed minus $150.00 for the time and efforts that i put into this. I thought this to be the better action than to press the issue of Breach of Contract due to the fact he cancelled well after the three business days of the signing of the contract and was better to let go the unhappy customer.
