    My complaint is in regards to graphic design services rendered on April 3rd, 2024.I was quoted one hour for the creation of a graphic design to be installed on my company van, based on a design concept I provided. The initial design presented by the company mirrored my design with minor adjustments. They offered to make some changes but never mentioned it would add to my quoted design time. I agreed to the design on the second attempt, but upon reviewing the final rendition of the design applied to the van, several issues arose.Primarily, the design was not centered, contrary to professional standards, and it lacked the inclusion of two phone numbers, a vital component of my business contact information. Furthermore, the company failed to disclose the potential for additional charges associated with requested alterations.In response to these discrepancies, I suggested a simpler design solution, and I was informed of an additional $250 charge for this modification. Displeased with this unexpected fee, I requested a refund, only to be met with resistance.Initially, they offered a partial refund, citing 2.5 hours of work invested in the design process. However, subsequent communications revealed inconsistencies in the hours billed, ultimately resulting in a charge of $318, which was deducted from my deposit.Had FASTSIGNS transparently communicated the possibility of supplementary charges for design alterations beforehand, I would have been better informed to make an educated decision regarding my engagement with their services. I am seeking resolution in the form of a refund for the unjustified additional charges. Furthermore, I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure fair and transparent business practices are upheld by FASTSIGNS moving forward.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    The line item on the invoice says it all.  Pretty black and white.

    Graphic Design fee to create logo artwork

    Graphic Design time billed at $95 per hour.  Estimate time for this logo is 1 hour.  If additional time is needed to create the desired logo, the amount will be adjusted.

     

    So, after taking time to design the logo with the direction we were originally given, customer changed her mind and wanted to go a different route, hence the additional design charges.  Customer also didn't understand that the changes would then affect the price of the vinyl and install price of the vehicle lettering, which we tried to communicate, but we were told we were wrong and that was not the case.
