March 1st 2024 Neighbor across the street has G contracting putting on an addition. The contractor installed clear plastic and blue tarp on addition. Wind storm on the first and again on the 8th or 9th shredded the plastic and deposited it mostly in my trees and yard along with the farmers fields next to our home. G contracting sent 2 workers over to clean up the plastic they worked for a couple of hours then told me that they are out of time. Some not all the plastic sheeting is still in my trees and my wife and I have been picking up what is blown out of the trees. Called **** at G and it took him more than a week to return my call. When he did call he told me that the shredded plastic was an act of God and he is not responsible for the litter that his construction has caused. As a resolution I would like to have the plastic sheeting removed from my trees. **** from G hung up on me when he did make the return call because I wanted the rest of the cleanup done that his company has caused. Haven't heard from them since and nothing has been done as far as the litter they have caused. I have pictures of the plastic in the trees and have sent them to ****'s cell phone, with no response. Is there anything that can be done about the litter clean up or is it as **** says an act of God and I am responsible for the clean up? Thank you for letting me vent my frustration.

    Dear *****,

We recently came across your feedback regarding the construction debris cleanup from a neighboring property where G Contracting is working on an addition. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or frustration you may have experienced as a result of this situation.

First and foremost, we want to clarify that the property in this complaint is not directly associated with G Contracting. Nonetheless, we understand the impact of construction-related debris on the neighboring property and are committed to addressing your concerns in a timely and respectful manner.

Regarding the debris deposited in your trees and yard following the windstorms, we empathize with your situation. While we initially sent two workers to assist with the cleanup, we recognize that additional efforts are needed to fully address the issue. However, due to the nature of the debris and its location in the trees, specialized equipment such as a bucket lift will be required for safe and effective removal.

We want to assure you that we are willing to take responsibility and assist with the cleanup efforts. However, please understand that given the logistics involved, resolving this issue may take some time, and it may be more feasible to address closer to the completion of the project.

We kindly request your patience and cooperation as we work towards resolving this matter. If you would be willing to discuss the situation further and provide us with additional details, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to find a satisfactory resolution for all parties involved.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we look forward to the opportunity to resolve it amicably.

    Sincerely,
    ******** *********

If G contracting had handled my complaint as gracefully as he did with the written response to the BBB when this incident first occurred instead of stonewalling and not returning phone calls, I would not have had to file a complaint. However the phone call from ******** ********* was over a week, 2 phone messages and a text message later, before I filed my complaint with the BBB. When  ******** ********* stated that the litter was an act of God and he was not responsible for an act of God I had no recourse but to file a complaint. When will the removal of the remaining plastic in the trees be done? My experience with ******** ********* is delay, delay, and wait for God to take care of the problem. I would appreciate a firm date when the litter will be taken care of. As it stands now the wind IS removing the plastic from the trees bit by bit and my wife and I get to pick it up in the yard and lower bushes almost daily. Again I would like a firm date for the cleanup to be completed, after ******** ********* has not been very forthcoming with any definite timeline to have this rectified.

G contracting is still not willing to give a date for cleaning up the litter that is still in my trees. It is now over one month since the litter has been in my trees. The winds that we have had has torn some of the plastic out of the trees and I am sure this is what ******** ********* owner of G contracting is waiting for. In the meantime my wife and I have had the pleasure of picking up what the wind had ripped from the trees. My wife and I are both senior citizens and feel we are being taken advantage of by ******** ********* and G contracting. ******** ********* is not willing to give a firm date for cleaning up his litter and leaving the cleanup to us. We asked for a firm date and have not been offered a FIRM date for cleanup. G contracting's plan I believe is to delay, delay, delay, so they do not have to do anything to clean up the litter that they allowed to happen. G contracting and ******** ********* seem to be very good at not committing a firm time line to take care of this on going problem, ******** ********* knows if he delays long enough eventually the trees will leaf and hide his litter, in the meantime we the injured party will continue to clean up the mess that G contracting allowed to take place.   ******** ********* keep delaying the clean up until someone else takes care of what is your responsibility is a great plan but really not a good business decision. Please clean up this problem and stop delaying. We have not received any contact from ******** ********* G contracting since March 11, 2024.
