I am the treasurer at ****************************************** in Hellertown, PA. In late April our church contracted with Conan Epoxy Surfaces to install an epoxy floor in the fellowship hall. The cost was $11355. We paid the full amount on the last day of installation, believing the job was done. A few days later we noticed the floor was still very rough and unsafe, not smooth like promised. We contacted the owner, ***********************, and explained the condition of the floor was not what it should be. He proceeded to tell us we didn't know what we were talking about, he did everything right and that the floor was finished. After numerous calls to get the unfinished floor fixed, his partner (wife ***************************) came to the church to see the floor. She agreed with us that the floor required further work and they would finish the job. This was in late May. We have not heard from them since early June and all of our attempts to contact Conan through calls, texts and email go unanswered or undelivered. They not only have refused to finish the contracted and paid job, but seem to ghosting us in hopes we just go away. The church has sought out a floor professional to advise us on moving forward. He has recommended a complete removal of the Conan floor and to start over with a different contractor. Our church cannot afford to simply toss away $11K. We are hoping the BBB can make contact with *********************** of Conan Epoxy and help get our money back so we can get a new floor done. We have had to cancel or relocate all of our service projects because of an unusable, unsafe fellowship hall. We have also lost about $3000 in cancelled fundraising events.

The real owner of the business has left town, and the business is no longer solvent; however, *********************** is offering to help fix the situation if the business chooses to accept.
