Several neighbors in my neighborhood use a landscaper named The Pines. It is owned by ******** *****. While the landscaper does pretty good work for their customers, they do it at the expense of the neighboring properties. One year my neighbor had a dry creek installed in their side yard. The Pines chose to remove any non-river rocks and replace them with river rock. Unfortunately, they threw the unwanted rocks into my yard. Even after asking them several times, they would not clean up the mess that they left on my property. ******** and his son, Junior are also known to "deposit" leaves from their clients into the **********, which overwhelms the ground and kills the delicate trillium and other plants in the greenspace. I repeatedly asked them to stop and explained why. When that weas unsuccessful, I called the owners of the greenspace (*******************) and gave them pictures of the problem. Junior actually threatened me that if they got any heat from blowing leaves from five households into the greenspace, he "would know who the snitch is". You know, "snitches get stitches" except the definition of a snitch is telling on illegal activity. So he admitted that he knew that what they are doing is illegal. And he threatened me anyway. A senior manager of ******************* called The Pines and warned them to cease and desist. And they still practice this activity whenever they can. Last week, The Pines Landscaping was cleaning up my neighbor's yard and chose to blow a bunch of pine needles onto my sidewalk and into my landscaping. And the neighbors said that they weren't concerned. I know of several neighbors who are impacted by The Pines Landscaping and we will be working together to stop this nonsense. Please, when hiring a landscaping crew, make sure that they haul away your debris (and be sure to put in your contract to avoid legal consequences.
