In November 2021 I chose Able heating & cooling to install a ********** ductless heating/cooling system. It has not performed as it should. Only 1of 3 units could be programmed; it doesn't keep a consistent temperature no matter what I set it on; it cannot keep my home warm if the temperature outside is below 35; to shut the unit off i need to turn off its circuit ******** **** uses almost as much electricity as my old baseboard heat. In 2022, **** worked to correct the problems & corrected or improved some issues. So, when the owner came to me in May 2022 asking for payment & assuring me he would check back with me in the summer to make sure the a/c works as it should, I went ahead and submitted payment. No one checked with me in the summer, but the a/c worked fine the few times I needed it.In October, when I needed heat again, the same problems resurfaced, including that the programming solution was not working. I called Able & did not receive a return call for 2 weeks, so I called ********** for help. They solved the programming problem & assured me that the other issues could be resolved but that I needed to call Able and ********** would work with them. So I called Able. I had one conversation with **** and expected to hear back from him. They sent a tech out without telling me why, then I did not hear from them. Called again & was elevated to the owner who told me he would take care of me from here on out. That was January 20th. I have not heard from him since. I have called & left a message 13 times since then & never get a reply.I am to the point that I am losing sleep over this. I spent $9700 on the system and thought I would recoup some of that in savings on my electric bill as well as have a system that would provide consistent, comfortable heating & cooling. I didn't get that. From talking with others in the hvac business it seems that I either got a defective system or the wrong system for the needs of my space. They finally responded - YAY! And I think the issue is resolved. They installed new equipment last week, so it is too early to tell if this is the solution, but it sounds like it has to be (they won't do anything else). What I have gathered from this is that they installed an inadequate system for my needs to begin with and I am guessing they were hoping I would learn to live with it and just go away. I have not heard from them since they installed the new equipment, so I fear I will not be receiving any support from them in the future.
Again, I think the issue is resolved and BBB did get them to respond to me. THANK YOU!!!!
